Crystal Retinal 3 - Firming, Advanced Skin Retinaldehyde Face Serum - Night Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E - Gluten Free - 1 oz

I’ve used Medik8 Crystal Retinal for quite a while, purchasing it directly from Medik8’s website. This is my first time buying it on Amazon because of the great Prime Day price. As someone in my mid-50s, I use several anti-aging products, including prescription tretinoin, and Crystal Retinal has become one of the products I reach for most often. It’s gentle enough to use consistently without the irritation that stronger retinoids can sometimes cause. The attached photo shows my current skin with no filter or editing. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and layers well with moisturizer. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and comfortable, making it an easy choice on nights when I don’t want to use tretinoin. If you’re new to retinal or have sensitive skin, Strength 3 is an excellent place to start. More experienced retinoid users may eventually want to move up to a higher strength. The only downside is the regular retail price, so I usually wait until it’s on sale before buying another one.

I’ve tried many retinols, retinals and had a brief stint on tretinoin, but this is hands down my favorite, and has been the only one I’ve stuck with. I have sensitive & aging skin, but had zero irritation or break outs from this. I have used most of the level 3, and am now using the level 6 (whilst using the rest of the level 3 under my eyes). I put it on clean dry skin, and then follow up with a thick moisturizer at night… During the day I use moisturizer and spf (do not use this if you’re not going to use spf. Also, don’t combine with other actives at the same exact time. I will use a light AHA exfoliant once a week and will not use this on the same day… I did not add in the AHA until about a month in, to ensure no barrier damage/irritation) And for people saying the package doesn’t work, it DOES work. Push the product toward the pump (as you would with toothpaste) and then use the pump. Sometimes you just have to push it toward it to get it to dispense. I actually really like the product as it’s airtight and keeps it stable, if you cut it open you are ruining the product. And as for the scent, it has a very light scent that is actually cozy. It kind of smells like light vanilla cookies. I’m not usually a fan of scents, but actually enjoy this one. If they made it in a hand/body lotion, I’d buy it lol. I’ve been consistent, seen good results so far and will continue to use this product; happy I’ve finally found a form of vitamin A that agrees with my skin.

This product is truly a 10/10 for me. The quality, texture, and formulation feel very premium, and I love that it uses retinaldehyde instead of traditional retinol. It feels effective while still being comfortable on my skin and has become one of my favorite nighttime skincare products. The price is higher, but the quality of the formula makes it feel worth the investment.

Love this stuff. Following directions for use and you should be good. I don’t use it more than three times a week and often will skip a week or so after I first started using their directions for use. No problems. I did you a facial scrub for dryness which was t bad and I use very good facial products to moisturize and cleanse

It’s a good product and has a very pleasant scent. Just one note: I don't think there's much product in it—I'm not sure if it was just the specific one I received, but it felt like it was lacking product.

No irritation. I have very sensitive skin. Don’t love the scent but it doesn’t linger. Doesn’t make my skin dry or peel. Seen some lighting of brown spots.

Love the product! I’m going to buy it for the third time. It feels really lightweight and invisible, but especially for my oily skin. Would recommend

I shop almost every day from Amazon, and this is my first review. I just open this cream and it seems empty, no matter how much I pump only 3 drops came out. I was very excited to use this product but, I am very disappointed, will return it.
