Easy-to-use tea maker & amazing tea experience!
We had been using this tea maker for a few months now and our experience had been very good. This is a very easy-to-use tea maker that prepares very good tea in 10-15 minutes. Not only it reduces the time to prepare the tea, but the tea also lasts longer thanks to huge water reserve (~4L) and the ability to keep the tea hot at any given time. We had tea sessions lasting hours with this samovar and the last tea was as good as the first one!If you are looking for an elegant, easy-to-use tea maker that produces very high quality tea, I strongly recommend this product.PS: The company (RAYA Home) has an amazing customer service department. Our initial tea maker actually broke after 2.5 months of usage so that it would no longer boil the water. When I contacted RAYA Home, Yasmin from the customer care, was extremely understanding and agreed to send us a replacement unit right away. Although we never figured out exactly what was wrong with the initial unit (our best guess is a defective power cable at this point), any complex electronics could have similar manufacturing defects. We had been using the second unit for almost a month with no issues so far.

A piece of junk
This product looks gorgeous but it is piece of junk. I order one, which was defected, returned and got a new one and the new one worked for less than a month. I contacted them and they said is past 30 days and they won’t return my money and gave the number to call for warranty that is supposed to be a year. It is a month now that I called, emailed, and texted with no response. I just wasted my money. I wish I had a choice of zero star.

Absolutely perfect!
You know those large stainless-steel hot water tanks you see at conferences or meetings where you can serve yourself hot water or coffee? Well, this samovar keeps me supplied with hot water and tea throughout the day and into the night. Not only that, but it is beautiful as well as functional. It looks great in my kitchen as well as on my serving table. It’s lightweight, has good gripper handles, large capacity — great for parties. Zero complaints, good price. What more could you ask for.

Beware - Potential Fire Hazard
Purchased 4 years ago. Worked ok, not great, but worked!Never checked the electric plug until by accident recently when I tried to disconnect from the unit. It would not come out! Discovered why.....overtime the electric plug was MELTING in place!!!Has never been misused or was wet on the outside of the samovar.Worst part is: repeated attempts to communicate by email and voicemail with the company to alert them to the fact that there is a potential fire/shock hazard in their product under normal usage scenarios went completely ignored! THEY DON'T CARE IF THEIR PRODUCT IS UNSAFE. Beware.

Buy a higher quality power cable
Bought this in 2021 and after 2 years the power cable shorted/melted. This is a similar experience to some of the other reviews. Since replacing the power cable in 2023, the unit has been working great. I highly recommend getting a UL listed cable when you purchase this unit since the power cable it came with is low quality (and quite frankly a safety hazard). The cable I purchased was also from Amazon: StarTech.com 6ft (1.8m) Heavy Duty Power Cord, NEMA 5-15P to C13 AC Power Cord, 15A 125V, 14AWG, Replacement Computer Power Cord, Monitor Power Cable, PC Power Supply Cable, UL Listed (PXT101146)Since replacing the cable I’ve had no issues! We leave it on all day and it hasn’t broken down for several years! I recommend this unit for its looks as long as you get your own power cable.

We use it every day!
This was a Christmas present for me and my wife, we both drink hot beverages every day and were constantly filling and putting our previous kettle on all day, which actually took a while to fill and heat. This has been awesome for us! We fill in once in the morning and use it all day! It is beautiful and silent - red/blue leds let you know when the water is ready. It heats up quickly (I think I measured about 15 mins for 4.5 liters to boiling, which is a huge amount of water)It turns off after 12 hours so you don’t have to worry about remembering to turn it off at night. It’s our favorite, and saves us a ton of time. One downside is the spout is like 6 inches above the counter, so if you wanna do drip coffee it’s not tall enough to fit over the mug and the funnel. I usually pour the hot water into a cup and then into the funnel.

Blue does not mean hot in any universe
First, I have to say that the samovar itself actually works very well. It's easy to clean and with the standard PC plug on the back, I don't have to unravel the cord to do the job, which is a nice change from my previous samovars. There are some serious flaws with mine. The chainik started to leak from the bottom of the handle and I was concerned that it would shatter so I'm using the chainiks that came with my previous samovar because I happened to have a spare and since the samovar itself works fine, I didn't want to go through the hassles of a return or exchange. The other issue I have is that blue does not mean hot in any universe. We have conventions about almost everything, particularly those things which denote danger. Red always means hot, amber/yellow always means caution, and green always denotes a safe condition (outside of, perhaps, some specific examples in some very small fields) and this thing lights up red whilst heating and switches to blue when done heating. I realize that blue has come to mean "on" but the whole reservoir lights up and the blue light emitted by LEDs is notoriously bad for the eyes.Just a comment for the manufacturer, the led rings should be lit amber/yellow when heating to denote caution and red when it's hot to denote "danger, hot" since that is what we teach our children and the red and amber LEDs don't emit nearly as many ultraviolet rays as blue LEDs emit. It would also be nice if we could turn the LEDs off with the exception of a single led indicating power as an option for those of us who are photophobic (and there's no reason to light an entire room with a samovar)
