Yes, the hat is designed to be crushable, but I get the idea it was crushed in storage and shipping, so it now has perma-creases in the mesh crown sides. It’s not the end of the world, and I love everything else about the hat. Well, I guess I don’t love the relatively stiff leather strap, but that’s a minor niggle and it doesn’t really bother me in use.The important thing is that the brim is very wide, so it’s good at keeping the sun off, and the mesh crown sides are the most ventilated of anything I’ve tried (all straw construction, Tilley classic hat, etc). Also, the band has the magical ability to soak up sweat without getting completely waterlogged. Maybe the mesh helps there, too.

This manufacturer did make these overseas at one time. I was at a big airshow in Florida, 10 years past and saw the foreign one. Bought it at top $$$ as I needed a sun hat. I LOVED it. Later I worked outside for an airport in Florida. That hat was so apart of me my boss called it my trademark. Many years in the field and it was still like new, just a bit personalized. Well. On day I had to work the security gate where arriving passengers go through to baggage and I set my hat on the podium. While I was distracted a man walked by. Looked around, grabbed it, rolled it up and left. We have him on video all the way to his car. Of course we don't persu for a hat. 🫣. I immediately ordered a new one. Same one but made in the great USA. Two years later it was also taken when my back was turned. Today I ordered a third. Now I can assume the thieves did not know the quality, just the looks. So my recommendation to you is don't leave it on the seat of your 2023 Corvette. You might come back to a broken window and the hat lifted. Yea, it's that nice, and does a great job of protecting your ears and face from the sun. Crushes flat with no wrinkles or bending wires. I hope this company is in business for a long time. This one too will probably be stolen. LOL. Just changed my order to two just to be on the safe side.

This is a fantastic hat that blocks the sun for men, without making you look like you're wearing your wife's floppy garden hat. The quality is really something, and I appreciated that they use true sizing rather than try the impossible task of using a one-size-fits-all approach.My only disappointment, and it is a small one, is that the brim is not mesh but is solid with a mesh applique on top. There's still ventilation on the top portion of the hat but I thought that it was going to have mesh construction throughout. Really not a big deal, but if you expect entirely mesh construction, you might be disappointed.I wish quality like this was evident in other products. It makes you want to spend more to get more.

Wore my old for 15 years, finally retired it. Needed one just like it or similar. Found the HH tag medium size on old hat ordered another! very happy with my new one.

These hats are well built and should withstand some abuse. My head was just big enough to be called a large, however the large fit was sloppy and had try again with a medium. It’s fit is nice and snug and won’t blow off in the wind too easily.

The hat arrived on time and in perfect condition. The only issue is that it runs a little bigger than expected since we ordered according to the size chart. Rather than return it, I glued a narrow band of foam inside the hat band which fixed the sizing.

Good hat for full sun use. Breathable tops are a must for me, fits the bill. I took off the chin strap, easy to reattach. Crush quality OK. A bit heavy compared to a straw Panama (my fave) but expect it to last a few years more than straw.

After going through a few amazon flops, notably misshapen or broken straw hars on delivery, I have finally found my hat. It looks great and keeps its shape. The top mesh keeps you cool, but doesn't look bad. Kept the sun off my head all summer.
