Great value, fantastic features
I've recently gotten back into motorcycle riding. Previously I'd pay top dollar for Arai and Shoei helmets, those helmets are $1000 now. I was looking for value this time around, let's face it, what saves your head is the foam lining in the helmet. Any helmet is finished after 1 crash. Rule of thumb is to replace the helmet every 5 years, are you gonna do that with a $1000 helmet? Anyway, about this helmet: it's light but sturdy, it fits well - a little hard around the edges at first for me around the forehead but it's broken in and comfortable now after a few days; I love the integrated sun visor; I like the easy release chin strap. Negatives: the rubber breath shield kept falling out and I've lost it - I've contacted AHR and asked for a replacement; because of the nice quick release chin strap, there's no D-ring to lock into the bikes helmet lock (but I prefer the quick release). Overall - I like it so much I ordered 1 for my wife.

I went down today, Pretty good results!
So I was out riding in the desert today and I hit a sandy area that I was not expecting to find. I have to say I went down HARD about 40MPH off road.... this helmet held up VERY well. I messed up my leg and a shoulder... I smacked my head on the ground ... the helmet too the blow and didn't even leave me with a headache! I am VERY grateful for the protection this helmet provided. My helmet camera broke and my bike had to be brought home on a truck... but I am totally fine! Thank you so much for the value and protection this helmet provides. It is not the most scratch resistant and I had to get the face shield on properly as it was not from the factory, but if you look at it you will see how it should go and it is great after that! Again, thank you so much for an affordable and durable product. I was absolutely amazed that I didn't even end up with a headache as I am pretty susceptible to them. I will be buying another one to replace this one. It didn't take much damage... mostly cosmetic but for the price it is worth replacing to ensure a proper level of protection. I would highly recommend this helmet! The pics show the extent of the damage from landing on a large rock!

It is a very good fit heavy duty really a nice helmet. I’m satisfied.
It’s only one thing that I dislike and it probably is me and not the helmet. Don’t know where the hook up Bluetooth in it so it’s more likely me other than that helmet is great.

This helmet has a solid look ,great features the built in sun visor is nice and the vents in top and bottom keeps from fogging up inside clear visor, for the money you can't beat it.

For the price, the helmet is okay.
If you're expecting high fit and finish in a $65 helmet, you're not going to find it in any helmet in this price point. The helmet shell is of decent quality, the liner is okay, the clarity of both shields is good. There is more wind noise with the outer shield down than with it up. This is due to the sloppy way the gasket was installed. It is not glued in straight or evenly and there-for there are gaps at the top when the outer shield is closed. This allows the wind to blow through creating extra wind noise. The teeth that should hold the outer visor open are not big enough so the outer visor will close on you while riding, especially if you're in freeway traffic passing tractor trailers. I ride a sport tourer, so the bikes wind screen does a good job of directing the air over the rider. As such, during the day, I like to ride with the outer shield up. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to adjust the tension for the visor like there is on more expensive helmets. Again, this is a $65 helmet so you can't expect it to be perfect. This works well as a good, cheap backup helmet.

Does it's job, comfortable
Someone I know recently had an accident while wearing this helmet, and it saved their head from serious injury, so I bought one for myself. I find the helmet not too heavy, is comfortable to wear, and I really like the way the breath guard rises to meet the inner drop down sun visor. The only wish I had was that the chin strap cloth was a little shorter as I have to overlap them, but that's a personal preference. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

This helmet is garbage. And at $65 it's an expensive piece of garbage.
I don't leave bad reviews, but this thing is junk. It felt pretty bad when I got it, but I figured that's what you get for $65.Took it out for my first ride, and it was so uncomfortable I took it off after like 4 minutes. I have a Polaris Slingshot so I set it on the passenger seat and tried to decide what to do with it... Return period had expired (I bought it during winter). I didn't want to sell it to someone and curse them with it, but I didn't want to throw it away. Then, during a spirited U-turn in downtown Pocatello it slid off the seat and tumbled into the street and against the sidewalk. The helmet was such a piece of junk I didn't even stop, just waved to it in the side view mirror as I drove away.Good riddance. So why is it garbage?1) Padding is almost non-existent. Maybe 1/2" in some places and it's cheap foam.2) if the visor is up you can't lift the modular part up.3) Made of cheap plastic.l, it felt like it was going to break.4) The lens wasn't perfectly clear, probably sub standard Plexi glass5) The rubber piece designed to deflect air around your nose while the visor is up kept falling off.6) One of the vents popped out while I was trying to close it.7) This is your life we're talking about here... You already sacrifice safety for comfort and convenience when you go modular, so why trust a garbage version of a sub par helmet design.8) If you are still reading at this point, just do yourself a favor and go look at another helmet.
