Easy to setup
This receiver works great. I had a $2,500 big-name receiver from 2008 that gave out on me. Even though this one has 25 watts less per speaker, you can’t tell the difference—except maybe when listening to music at max volume. Bluetooth and WiFi connected to my phone instantly, allowing me to use apps as a remote for setup right away. The receiver is in a separate room from the TV, yet I was able to use everything immediately without reprogramming the universal remote. On top of that, I can control the outdoor speakers in Zone B without even reading the instructions. I guess smart technology really is what it claims to be!

Great audio quality and connectivity options for the price
Purchased this as a replacement for a ~15yr old Sony unit that had reached functional obsolescence, as it lacked HDMI in/out or any more modern connectivity. The old unit had been performing AVR duties for my media-center PC for nearly it's entire life, and more and more often I would run into issues of it not supporting newer surround-sound audio formats, and with only optical/spdif connectivity, there was no ability to even do multi-channel PCM, so most often there would only be stereo output (or PL-II upmixing at best). This Denon unit seems to be working quite well so far, being easily installed into my existing setup, re-using my existing speakers, and so far I have not run into any issues regarding connectivity or supported formats; every bit-streamed format that I have tried is properly decoded, often offering more options than the simple decoding (e.g. adding virtual rear surround channels from a 5.1 stream). This was a refurb unit at time-of-purchase, which arrived in original packaging and with all accessories, and while I cannot speak to its longevity, it has so far been a perfectly workable unit, and I would consider it quite a bargain at the refurb price (and not bad at the current new price either). My only gripe is that it does not have 7.x channel analog inputs, but with HDMI connectivity being what it is in the modern incarnation, it is seeming more-and-more that multi-channel analog inputs really aren't needed (as HDMI is more than capable of doing multi-channel PCM where needed). So, a very minor issue, all things considered.

WOW Just WoW
I thought it was a great price, but this thing is c5razy awesome. Power way above and beyond expectations. I run it in my garage where my office is and hook it to my computer and big screen TV. It is so simple to hook up and program even i could handle it. I am not tech savvy I have always had Pioneer systems and never considered anything else until I saw the price on this one. I hooked it up to my 10 speaker system (all tower and subs) and this thing loves them. I hear sounds in movies and music I have never heard before it splits it up absolutely perfectly. I am really glad I purchased the reconditioned one for the price savings, but even at full price great deal!

A Great AVR and a fantastic bargain
Looking to replace an older Denon AVR and found this offered by Electronics Expo. Nearly a 45% reduction from the original list price ($599) for a "refurbished" unit that looks to be perfectly new with all the accessories. Walking into Costco yesterday they were $150 more, I feel like a winner in the AVR lottery. Delivered in 3 days (2 days early) for free. For my mid-size Home Theater this is perfect. Easy to set up, works great, sounds super and permits me to have all the other components (Blu-ray player, Chromcast and TV) working together through the speaker system. I love it. And here is a trick I found. Log into the receiver with a web browser window and you can set many of the features while sitting on the couch. My AVR web address is https://192.168.1.208:10443, your's might be different so check in Information from the Set Up menu. (BTW, you could get a message that the web address is not secure but go right pass that) Change many of the parameters and listen to what difference it makes. Set up becomes super easy and you can do it while watching/listen to your favorite source.

Electronics Expo treated me right
This Denon AVR-S760H 7.2-Channel Home Theater AV Receiver was shipped on time by Electronics Expo and the box was in perfect condition, but the unit was defective, and that was the fault of the Denon refurbishing center. In the box was a phone number to call if I had a problem. After calling that number a Denon technician verified to me that the unit was defective, so I quickly returned it through UPS with no cost to me. Electronics Expo promptly refunded my money, so I ordered another unit. This one also was received on time and the box was in good condition. This second unit seems to work perfectly.
