IPX8 Waterproof Dog Collar Holder for Airtag [Metal Back Plate] Ultra-Durable Dog & Cat Collars Mount for AirTag, Suitable for All Widths of Collars (1 Pack)

I ordered these two years ago for my watch of four super-active border collies. One of them finally came apart today probably because Sophie had been chewing on her brother's collar. I inspected all of them and found two others still in like new condition and one that was half busted up. Needless to say, I ordered two more of this exact same thing.

I bought this for one of my dogs，who was making it a habit to escape from the yard something like 8 or 9 months earlier. Kiv loves water，so I knew having a waterproof holder was important. Most escapes resulted in Kiv returning wet and muddy after a swim in the creek behind my house. In December，I had three dogs with me when I had a car accident. The dogs escaped，two were retrieved safely but Kiv ran into traffic right in front of a car. He was lucky—he yelped then ran off. My car needed to be towed；I managed to get home with two dogs thanks to help from the Austin police. I was frustrated I couldn‘t even look for Kiv，not having a car. I finally remembered he was wearing an Airtag. With my iPad，I found his Airtag signal in a neigborhood close to the site of the accident. I called 911 again and a compassionate Austin police officer found him with my Airtag information and watched him until I could get there by an Uber car. By this time it was 5:30 am—almost 12 hours later. Kiv was lying down in the grass，but alert—near the site of the accident—appearing to be waiting！ We once again got a ride home from the police. Who deserve thanks and at least a few dozen donuts—if that‘s still a thing. Kiv had a deep laceration on his ankle，but otherwise checked out OK at a Veterinary ER later in the day，and was treated—his wound cleaned and stitched. He came home with a collar and 7 days of antibiotics. The IPX8 Waterproof holder worked & the Airtag worked when I needed them！I’ve ordered two more for the other dogs—hoping I won‘t need to use them. The holder is very tough—as advertised. My dogs often play hard with frequent mock attacks on one another. This Airtag holder has been battle-tested to be durable and has held up to the worst abuse that can be expected. It is a great buy—valuable protection at a very low price. It was easy to put on，fit the collar， and looks OK—I really don’t even notice it，and neither does Kiv.

I tried several airtag holders and this one has been my favorite. It attaches firmly to any collar and will not fall off. I throw collars in the washing machine often and the airtag hasn't broken. However, I have had the back plate crack on one when changing it between collars and the back face of the first holder I installed is cracking. That's because my puppy is young, very active, and plays at the dog park every day with other bigger dogs. This first holder lasted about 6 months before I noticed any damage, and it could keep on going. Very good product for the money. The replacement parts are also a nice touch.

I love the concept of this product and how easy it was to assemble. I appreciated the tool they gave with the kit as well. Unfortunately, after having this for less than months the product has cracked. I fear I’ll have to get a new one to ensure the AirTag does not fall out on a walk. My dog isn’t excessively aggressive in terms of play so I don’t think there was a valid reason for it to break. I wish there was a warranty since the proud has “super durable” engraved on it. UPDATE: Seller reached out to me to reconcile the issue. Sent me a new on VERY quickly (like I got it the next day). Unfortunately this one had a defect. I let them know and they sent another the same day. This new one works perfectly and I am thankful to have a replacement. We will see how this one holds up. I changed my review from a 2 star to a 4 because of their excellent customer service. If it were an option I would do a 3.5 if I could since the second one sent was defective.

Worked wonderfully! Stayed waterproof the whole time and was durable even with my big dogs. Wasnt exactly a quick install but the time it took guaranteed it would last

Fairly easy to install, not super bulky

The AirTag holder was easy to assemble and use. However, the plastic holder secures the air tag with 4 screws. Unfortunately, the screws pulled out of the plastic and I had to order a new holder. The holder plastic is too soft.

This was a replacement for the one that broke. My dog is an escape artist. She once dug a tunnel into the neighbors yard and escaped. More than once the air tags has saved her life. She on several occasions gotten locked up in a construction site where she would have died from the elements with no water or shade or frozen to death. It always happens on a Friday night and cops have to be called to get ahold of the job foreman to unlock the gates. Without a air tag on her collar no one woujd of found her in time.

Made of plastic not metal which I wasn’t expecting but no to worry. Attaches easily enough and is still sturdy after 2 weeks. Haven’t tested the waterproofness of it yet. *Update* This lasted less than 3 months, the brittle plastic cracked all over, it’s not waterproof and the attaching plate snapped, I nearly lost it. This wasn’t used in any sort of environment, just daily dog walks and being at home. Removed 4 stars because I really expected better for nearly £20 than just a cheap bit of rubbish. The ideas good, if made with metal…

Molto resistente! Lo consiglio

Me llegó perfecto y funciona excelente. Muy fácil su instalación y me gustó que trae piezas de repuesto. Genial!!
