Good little drive, Doesn't overheat.
Seems like a great little flash drive. Fast, tiny, and I haven't seen many overheating issues like with most small USB 3.0 drives. I won't post the benchmarks here, but you can see a screenshot of the results at the end of this review. During the 16GB test, the drive did heat up during the sequential read/write section. From touch, I would estimate the temperature of the drive to be about 45C during that section. For electronics, I consider this to be warm, but by no means anything I should be concerned about. I would say that it throttled, though. During the first test, which was a 4GB test, the write speeds were very high; 78MB/s. But in the longer test, this was much lower at 31MB/s. I consider this to be a good thing, as I'd rather have my drive last longer than be fast and overheat. Full benchmarks in the photo section. Also, I really liked the packaging. It was very easy to open, as it was just perforated cardboard on the back of the packaging. I have a picture of this posted. I found a key ring to put on it, and yes, it has to be a thin one or else the ring will be a bit tight, but the one I found works just fine with this drive. For the price, this is a really solid drive. If anything happens in the future, I'll post it below here.

A fast, small & efficient flash drive.
Older USB storage is woefully outrun by this small key-chain-able drive. The three attributes I was looking for: Sturdy: I can throw in the briefcase / purse and not worry about bending, breaking, or getting pulled off the keychain. The construction is completely of metal and is the size of the USB plug itself. There is nothing exposed to get hurt while living on your keychain (though I'd gather dunking it in water may compromise its utility). Size: I carry this everywhere so I have access to all of my files around campus. It is smaller than my keys and is exceptionally light weight. Unlike the previous USB drive, this one IS so small it does not feel like it is there getting in the way of my keys when I'm fumbling at my office door. Performance: I show some youtube clips for class and some of them are quite large. I only have 50 minutes for class and don't want to be waiting for a video to load. Also, there are times when I've found the perfect example of X or Y just before class and have 2 minutes to move 125mb from my computer to the drive. The previous drive would take 4-5 minutes (yep that one was old!). This drive accepts 125mb in a matter of seconds. As for the amount of space, I have yet to fill up the 16gb from the previous drive, so I stuck with the 16gb as the price point was just right. I'd highly recommend this drive. It does not come with any metal keychain loops and the hoop through which you attach it to your key ring is somewhat small so you may wish to invest in a tiny keyring to attach it to your larger loop.

Excellent thumb drive, gets a bit hot.
These really are pretty amazing little flash drives. They are fast too! I have just two problems: they get quite hot when you're doing a lot of transfers to them, and if you don't have them actually on a keychain, they can be a bit of a pain to pull out of the port when you're done. For my use, they're totally acceptable and have been doing very well on my keychain. They're small enough that I can always carry them with my keys and have them handy when needed. Pro tip: if you have more than one of these, get an acid etch pen and use it to mark them. The acid etch pen won't rub off as it stains the steel they're made of permanently. I use Fowler part 52-730-005 for the marking. Just make sure to let the acid do its work for a bit after you label your thumb drive so you don't smear it around by handling it too soon.

Great low-profile option for Tesla Sentry-cam storage drive
Transcend 32GB JetFlash 710 USB 3.1/3.0 Flash Drive: $10.99 at the time of review I was an early adopter of the Model 3 electric car from Tesla. I pre-ordered mine the very first day I could and waited a couple of years for delivery. And you know what? I LOVE it! It was worth every minute of wait and penny of the price. After a little while Tesla enabled the built in cameras to be used as a dash cam to protect you while you drive. But in order to use it, you have to plug a USB drive in to store the video files. I chose this drive because it is tiny. I didn’t want the drive I used to stick out too much for fear that something in that compartment would get stuck on it and break it. Well, I got what I asked for. This little fella is *tiny* *What I liked*: As I just mentioned, it fit my desire for a tiny little drive that didn’t take up too much room. It only stuck out like ⅔ of an inch! It worked perfectly for my needs. I just stuck it in the USB port and the car recognized it, formatted it, and started to record to it on my first drive after install. *What I didn't like*: Honestly, the only thing I didn’t like about it was the storage capacity, and that’s not its fault. As it turns out I should have just bought the 64GB version. *The Bottom Line:* This is great drive to record videos to in a Tesla. It’s also tiny enough that if you wanted to keep it on your keychain to have a portable drive, you wouldn’t even notice it’s there. For just over $10 bucks (or just under $15 for the 64GB version), this is a total five stars out of five. I’d definitely buy it over again.

Small, reliable, and indestructible
I am an IT professional, and I keep this flash drive on my keychain at all times. I previously owned an older USB 2.0 and 32GB version of this flash drive, and decided to upgrade, as I really like the form factor and build quality of this product. It's really small, and very convenient to keep in a pocket. I actually use zip ties to hold it to a clasp on my keyring. You may need to get inventive to attach it somewhere where you won't lose it. PROS: - Very small and sturdy. The product description claims that it is waterproof, but luckily I've not yet had to put this to the test. Compared to plastic flash drives however, this is practically indestructible. - So far it has been very reliable. I have not experienced any data loss. - Decent read / write speeds when using USB 3.1. CONS: - Can get somewhat hot during heavy use. - The metal on the USB port has started to bend inwards and deform after about a year of riding in my pocket, but not enough to cause functional issues.

Excedes Expectations, +Project Suggestion
Fantastic drive worth every penny. I was surprised when I first saw the price when considering purchasing, then later surprised again by the build quality and R/W speed. Build: The product is very durable and has held up to over 2 years of abuse on my keychain. Performance: The read/write speed on this drive is great, considerably faster than any USB 2.0 device. I do freelance design, and I use this regularly for large file-drops to or from clients. It's nice not having to wait around for the transfer to complete. Fun Experiment: I recently bought two more of these drives and configured them as a RAID 0 partition to get a little more speed, works like a charm(doubles performance) and has been recognized by every computer I've plugged it into. A 64GB+ drive with R/W ~ 300/200 that fits in your pocket for ~$30? Just try it. NOTE: there is room for error with RAID 0, so make sure you have a back-up of whatever you're putting onto the setup. Con(but not really): This thing is tiny, it went missing on a couple occasions when not on my keychain. Definitely attach it to something like your keys or a lanyard if you don't want to loose it.

Cute & tiny, but very slow.
This is really a tiny thumb drive (smaller than a child's thumb): it's 0.88", barely 2 cm. This means that it can be quite difficult to remove unless you have some chain or key ring for pull. The first time I used it, the "sturdy metallic" outside got multiple scratches, just from trying to remove it form the USB port. Still, this would all be fine if it were not so slow. The writing speed when copying multiple files is essentially that of an average USB 2.0 thumb drive (hardly any difference). There are reasons for which the USB 3.0 thumb drives that reach USB 3.0 speeds (e.g., the SanDisk Extreme SanDisk Extreme PRO CZ88 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Speeds Up To 260MB/s- SDCZ88-128G-G46 ) are much bigger (2.5" or so). Also this tiny thumb drive can get very hot, too hot for comfort (a bigger drive would be able to dissipate heat much better). All in all, for the price ($22.99 for 64GB) is not an awful pruchase.

Perfect for my Allen & Heath QU-24 board
I have run into a lot of issues with my QU-24 and trying to record live tracks from the board with a USB drive. Often the USB drives get corrupted and don't work, or the brand/type I get is never recognized, or even that they start to skip. These little work horses are perfect and have never had problems after a month or two using them. They reformat well and have been nothing but ideal for my need. They are also a pretty small form factor, so putting the lid down on my mixer for protection doesn't require removing it from the board. I highly recommend these for any storage use, but especially if you are recording tracks from a sound board using a USB input.

Worth it for the speed, size and look
Below are compared benchmarks. It's deff worth the 18$ as long as you have usb 3.0 ports. It's very small and impressive looking. You can really see how much faster 3.0 is to 2.0 even on the same flash but compared to a very fast 2.0 flash you get 26mb/s vs 15.8 so its still worth to buy vs. a high end usb 2.0 flash and you are future proof. crystal disk mark 6 seq. read.138.8mb/s write. 49.7mb/s USB2.0 32.2 - 26.08 7.12 - 1.4 4.16 - 0.93 4.2 - 1.4 4.26 - 1.078 6.6 - 1.3 4.05 - 1.05 Wow my comp hard drive only does 53 and 53 lol usb 2.0 Patriot Xporter XT Rage 16gb does: read.30mb/s write.15.8mb/s 5.86 - 0.019 6.006 - 0.011 5.28 - 0.024

Speicher Stick
