There are many versions of this item out there. This was the second option that I tried and it is VERY good. The edges are made of a rubbery like material meaning that you don't have to worry about it breaking easily if many people play with it. I really like that this one is made out of glass, adds a lot to the durability and look of the item. The main circle comes off of the base so you can play with the sand in many ways if you are feeling bored. It works exactly as advertised. Though be aware that it might come with too much sand (mine did) meaning that it might get stuck since the bubbles are too low for more sand to fall through; the upper layer of sand will be lower if that is the case. The hardest part about using this product is figuring out how much air you want inside. The instructions are not super helpful about this but you want to strike a balance where most of the time the bubbles will keep a small trickle of sand going down. It's fine if a lot of sand comes down at first, that's how it works. When adding or removing air, I would highly recommend waiting for all the bubbles to combine into one (might take a few hours if you already mixed them). Beware that you might accidentally introduce extra air if you are not careful with the syringe.

I was skeptical about buying this product at its low price. You get what you pay for, right? But as it turns out, this was exactly what I wanted and the quality seems to be fine. My only complaint is that the mixture of black, white, and gold sand textures tends to fall in the same order unless you jostle it around as it’s going. Aside from that, it’s a great relaxation tool. It’s really fun to see how the formations will turn out. It works well and looks great on my fireplace mantle when it’s not in use.

Loved this so much that I bought 12 of them for members of my Bingo group. 3 were damaged and had to be returned. But this sand art is soooo fascinating! Do be aware that you have to adjust the air (with the included syringe) when you first set it up. It took a couple days for mine to get the right mix. But ever since, the sand art has been a source of fun and satisfaction! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Beautiful, but is leaking. I didn’t notice it until yesterday.

I really enjoy watching the sand form new patterns in this. The color is exactly as shown and it seems a pretty good value, comes with a little syringe so you can add or remove air from it as needed, nice size for desktop.

The sand art arrived in good condition, but it does not create the layered, flowing patterns shown. The sand settles almost completely level each time, even after adjusting and rotating. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations based on the description.
