Merrell Men's Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot

I have a large problem with my feet. I have a very wide foot and a very high arch. I have been wearing Merrell shoes for a very long time. My actual shoe size is 7 1/2 5 E width. You can not find stylish shoes in that size however 8 Wide will also work. Merrell shoes in 8 wide willfit my feet perfectly. The shoe is made high enough and wide enough for my foot. I purchase a new pair every 2 years. The dhoe is made with excelent quality. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an excelent quality shoe that is very comfortable. The shoe is also waterproof. It is made for hiking but I just use the for daily use because they are so comfortable.

I loved these so much I bought another pair in a different color. I had my misigivings about the lacing systems being these sitched fabric hooks, but, so far, the boots seem to be holding up well. Fitment: As someone who struggles with footwear due to the shape and wideness of my feet, these boots are a solid win in my book. I was able to order them in my actual size, without having to go up. One minor issue: The model for these boots was likely a wide foot with a higher arch. I did find them to be a little too spacious, as I have lower arches, but, I solved this problem with some cheap Dr. Scholl's inserts. What (minor) slippage I had was resolved. Weight: They don't weigh anything. Lacing: The laces seem to be good quality - a little long, however. Traction: No issues what so ever on the trail. I am confident when walking over smooth or wet rocks. Cushion: I have some bone spurs on my heels and these boots provided adequate cushioning on their own so I don't have any serious issues there. Waterproofing: I don't expect any lowcut to be waterproof beyond light rain. They dry very quickly if you're wearing the appropriate socks. Overall: These are really solid boots. I am overally really satisfied with their construction and design. They are super comfortable and feel durable.

I'm in construction and I hike every week. I’ve owned several pairs of these boots and will keep buying them until I cannot. They fit me. They are comfortable right out of the box. Good traction. They look good. Great for hiking. I wear them every day. I buy a pair once or twice a year. This means I always have a pair that looks good and other pairs I can work in (don't mind if they get paint on them, etc). The quality is very high for the price. A good value. I believe I get good mileage out of them. I don't use the waterproof model because they don't fit me well. For me the shoe fits so I wear it. My only complaint: For some reason, they come with shoelaces that come untied easily. This has been standard for years. I need to tie a triple knot, which is more bulky than I would prefer. In comparison, I recently bought a different pair of Merryl boots, and the laces that came with those boots stay tied.

I've been hiking and backpacking for 20+ years, and these boots are superior to anything I have ever owned. The comfort and fit are amazing. Great value too. I initially purchased size 11-1/2 M (my usual size), however returned them for size 12 M. From experience on the Appalachian Trail, I could predict the size 11-1/2 would result in toe jam... on that AT trip, one toe turned black from jamming, so those boots went in the trash. For anyone carrying a heavy load on a long haul, up and down, I suggest one-half size larger. For those doing day hikes, your normal size will suffice. I love these Merrell Moab 3 boots!

Good, a touch small

These boots are great...my feet don't hurt at all after a full day of wearing them...I have had them for going on 2 years and still look and feel great

I bought my last pair of these Merrell high tops in 2017. I use them mostly for work in the yard (and outside in general) and they held up extremely well. I can see several improvements in these vs the previous pair. Better rigidity in the body, better overall feel and fit, and the top “catch” that you place the shoestring in is significantly larger. At least double in size. If you’re on and off with them much, you will really appreciate this. That and the comfort of these shoes make me really appreciate them. Nearly impossible to find in stores and I love the fact that Amazon has them and brings them to my front door!

This boots are light weight, and fit as expected. I have wide feet, I often have to size up to get shoes that fit. I got these in 11.5 wide. They fit my foot exactly, and because my foot is not crammed up in the toe box, my feet stay a little cooler. It is important to have the boots laced properly, or your foot can slide a little. I find the footing to be solid, even on sandy south FL soil. I hiked some river trails with my child and his scout troop. I had very solid footing, and I was even able to help others, and confidently traverse everything I came across. it is a fairly powerful feeling to be that confident in your footing. I am used to sneakers, so this was a huge upgrade to me. I found these boots comfortable, but with a caveat. These are not crocks or Uggs comfortable. They don't offer a squishy soft ride. These are utility comfortable. They are form fitting to my arch, and they are designed, first and foremost for traction. If you need soft, these are not the droids you're looking for. I really appreciate the breathability, fit, traction, comfort, and over all aesthetic. These are 5 star in my book. I will probably even wear them in settings where all the features are not needed.

Very comfortable soon, took it to GR221 Hike and great. Good ankle support. only exception is that it is not water proof
