Kasugai Litchi (Lychee) Gummy Candies (Pack of 3) by Kasugai

I love gummy candy and fruity candy; I prefer it to chocolate. Kasugai has really superior texture on their gummies. They're not too hard or too soft, but just firm enough to be satisfying. I'd rate it as a bit firmer than the flesh of a grape. Their lychee flavor is amazing. If you don't know what lychee tastes like, it's a fruit that has the texture of a grape and the flavor of sweet citrus with a hint of rosewater. I've also heard people describe it as the strange hybrid of a pear and a watermelon. It's very fragrant, and if you've ever smelled it, you won't forget the slightly-floral slightly-sweet smell. These gummies perfectly capture that texture, flavor, and smell of the real fruit. I love that they're individually packaged, so I can throw a couple in my bag for an after-lunch sugar craving. They're very fragrant though, and make my purse smell like lychees. I don't mind at all, because they smell so fantastic! I have to exercise an unbelievable amount of self-control to not eat an entire bag in a single sitting. They're really worth how much you pay for the bag. Each gummy is pretty big; I'd say about the size of two or three Lifesavers stuck together. If you can hold off chewing them, you can suck on a single one for about half an hour without it losing any flavor. These are so good; I'm definitely not sharing them with my family.

I really like these! They have a true mild flavor like lychee! The hard candy is more flavorful, but these are more lychee-like in actual taste.

These are my favorite gummy. They are the exactly perfect softness. Among all the brands, these japanese gummies beat them all from LifeSavers fusions (hard to beat flavor intensity and softness) to original Haribo (too chewy tough). Flavorwise, I've tried lychee, mango, apple, grape, and probably forgetting a few, but each flavor was truly like the original and tasted natural in a good way. Lychee is the best** because it is the best fruit there ever existed (**personal opinion). They know what they are doing at Kasugai. They are individually foil plastic wrapped at optimum freshness so are hygienic to share in office candy bowls, put in your purse, or give to friends to try. People like to try them. Trust me. They are neither dry nor greasy-sticky when opened, but just utterly fresh. I can't share it with my mom who needs verification that these gummies have nothing to do with Fukujima power plant runoff. But, for me? I am willing to risk it for my lychee fix. Probably you'll agree.

This is the worst candy you'll ever eat. It tastes horrible. However it's like crack cocaine, as I now have to go order another 3 pack. They are so bad, that they're actually good. I would not recommend buying them, as I don't want them to run out and have to wait for an order. Please don't buy these.
