Q: How do you know when the battery is done charging?

Hi, Thank you for posting your inquiry. When you connect the charger and battery to a power source, the light will turn red to indicate that it is receiving power. Once the charge is complete the light will turn off. The boat battery needs to charge for about 60-90 minutes. Please make sure to check the manual for safety tips and battery care and storage. Hey there! Thank you for dropping by. The water inside the RC boat is actually normal. The cooling coil which is the circular thing around the RC motor has a tendency to spill excess water it intake. The spilled water is normally minimal and would not affect the electronics of the RC boat but if it floods the boat body, that is a different story. Q: Does this have a safety switch that requires it to be in water to run?

Yes. Totally only run them in water. Use the oil pack correctly also to service the boat and it will last a bit longer. I use a bucket of fresh water to clean it out after each use.
