Only got this yesterday evening-just done an excellent job of mixing eggs/sugar and then cake mix for some lovely brownies. Its simple to use, easy to clean . Its quiet-looks great and I am so pleased with it. Just the right size for a small kitchen

Does the job,but just a bit flimsy and feels cheaper than more expensive mixers. However if on a budget and baking is just once now and again,does the job well

Makes mixing easy
We have found that this Kenwood Chefette works well on the stand, and that it mixes well in the bowl. It needs care to ensure that the bowl is correctly lined up with the stand, but that is easily done. The bowl rotates while mixing, through a gear assembly in the stand which is aligned with the mixer. The mixer does not swivel on the stand, but it is off set in the bowl so that all bowl contents are mixed.The biggest drawback is that the mixer can only handle light loads, and then for a maximum of 6 minutes. This is just about enough when whipping cream for making ice cream, but this is limited to half a litre. Most recipes are for one litre so the whipping has to be done in batches which means that you have to rest the machine for twenty minutes between batches.

Combines hand mixer with hands free mixing
Pros - Lightweight and compact. Easy to move as needed. Quieter than my previous hand mixer. The bowl turns as it mixes.But - Raising the beater and lowering is a bit clunky, it needs care to not strain the mechanical catch, and i suspect this could be a weak link. The speed dial is a gradual increment - one smooth dial to increase/decrease speed, then when you click to stop, it can click into the Pulse setting. I think as I get used to it, it will be fine. I do like being hands free while it's mixing and that's the main thing.

The best for making sponges according to my wife.
Great little mixer. Replacing the previous model whose gears had worn out after about eight years of use at least three times a week.
