Comes with a small booklet with a few recipes in there. Nothing significant, but love this product!!!

For cabin with no stove/oven; can scrambled eggs, empanadas be made in this, or biscuits dough 'hot pockets' be made in this?

Scrambled eggs will come out looking like an omelet, i haven't tried biscuits or hot pockets or empanada's. Use your imagination. Try it. It may work out perfect! I did fry 2 eggs over easy in it with no problem.
