Built a couple of diy 5 gallon bucket water filters to go along with the others I have. Seems to work well.

Well, I got these filters because they looked like they were similar to the Propure filters I used before. They are smaller than the Propure filters but they seem to fit well in the pitcher. Being smaller, I don't think they will last as long as the original Propure filters. Time will tell. I wish the original Propure filters were still available on Amazon. Bummer.

I replaced my filters in my traveler pro. I think I ordered the floride filters this time. They are longer but still fit. Brown in color.

These filter the water super fast which doesn't seem like a good thing to me when my alexpur water filter took much longer. Also the water taste weird after being filtered through them. I don't trust it and will return.

As the instructions directed, it took running about 3 gallons of water (per filter candle) through the filters before there was no more black (carbon fines) coming through from the charcoal inside the ceramic filters. I tried a cheaper ceramic filter before using this, and it never tasted right. It always tasted like clay, even after running about 10 gallons through it. The water through these filters tastes amazing. Just water. Nothing else. Definitely worth the $10 per filter candle.

Edit: company gave a refund and offered to send me a replacement.Could not even remove red food color. Even after multiple fills the water was still coming out pink and was still leaving charcoal in the water. The water was also coming out of the filter like a faucet, there is no way it was filtering through that quickly. Would return if I could but I didn't test them while it was still in the return window.
