These lights are amazing! I have tried those cheap generic led light strips in the past and some were absolutely rubbish, others were ok. But these Govee M1 lights are out of this world! Ok, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for and there will be no need to upgrade for a very long time. These light strips would not be out of place in a professional setup! Build quality is superb, the strips are coated with a thick layer of rubbery silicone which adds protection to the electronic components. I bought four x 5m strips to go around the perimeter of the room where the walls meet the ceiling. I have installed them in 30mm diffuser channels. With the M1s having 60 led chips per meter they produce a solid pattern of light, you cannot see any spots from the individual led chips. This is a massive plus point. They are VERY bright and the colours very vivid, helped by the fact that they have 60 leds per meter and each led is very bright in it's own right. I had to purchase 4 pin extension wires separately because the M1s have a controller unit built in the to power cord about 30cm from where they connect to the strip itself. This meant I would have had to mount the controller to my wall which I didn't want to do. So with the extension wire I can hide the power brick and controller down near the floor. And the wire going to the led strip will be hidden with some cable trunking. That is why I only gave them four out of five for ease of installation. Overall they are a resounding five out of five. The app is brilliant too. Almost an infinite way to control the lights, from gentle single colour fades to crazy multi coloured flashing patterns so you can have your very own nightclub in your own home! I have four led strips and these can either be controlled separately or grouped and controlled together. You can have random flashing patterns or pre-set scenes. And you can customise the colour of each 10cm section of the strips. The possibilities are endless. The strips can be spliced together so you can have up to 10m lengths. Just be aware that if you do this it will impact the colour changing patterns since the length of each group of six leds will double to 12 leds. So the patterns will not be as smooth. (You need to "refresh length" in the app after connecting the strips together). You can also cut the strips down to a minimum of 3m. There are four points spaced 50cm apart from the end where the strip can be cut. Once cut they cannot be reattached. (And you will also need to "refresh length" via the app). I will add pics/vids in a future update but in the meantime I can thoroughly recommend these lights. Don't worry about the price, just save up for them (and they do drop in price from time to time so keep an eye out for this!). But in any case, they are worth every penny and I am thrilled with them!!

Easy to install into slimline diffusers, nice and bright and a good variety of patterns and colours. I was impressed so waited for the next price drop and then purchased another one for another room in the house. Would definitely recommend!

Great lights and app but expensive even when discounted. That's he price of quality I guess.

Very happy with it... Only thing I'd say is it comes with maybe ten mounting clips and it's a lot thicker/heavier than the older model strips. I'd suggest getting more clips! Averaged around 20 clips per strip having put up three strips (you can get packs of clips the correct width for the strip if you look around amazon)

I got these to update Govee DreamLight strip. Much brighter & more scenes to choose. I’ve not managed to connect with the hub, just Alexa & the Govee app. I thought M1 hub was required & was a bit confused about that but if you have a Philips Hue Hub then that has Matter update so you don’t need a new hub (although I’ve not been able to connect through that). Very happy with purchase & would highly recommend especially if you want smart lights that connect with Alexa as so easy to set up!

As the title suggests these lights look and work great once installed, extremely pricy which can be excusable as they are using an app to control things, they are extremely customisable but for someone like me that likes to use these on a static colour you can probably save yourself some money and buy a generic appless brand. They are extremely bright and find myself using them on 20% or below. Adhesion is fine, I haven’t had any issues of them becoming unstuck other than the end where there was some left dangling (yes you can trim them) Connectivity works fine, they run off Bluetooth and wifi so there seems to be redundancy built in, you can also turn them on and off using the control box/hub they plug into.

This arrived didn’t know what to expect but I was very surprised at the quality of the led’s this was exceptionally bright. Easily the brightest Lighting strip I’ve ever seen. The functionality with in the app was equality beyond any other led strip I have had. This might be outside of those Who might want to build there own led strip. But from out of the box they are a good choice and you won’t be disappointed. I already have the Govee light around the TV so the point was to stay with this brand and have complete control with all my other devices. I am now looking at there other products to add to other builds. Thank you Govee for a quality product.
