Glass Pitcher, Glass Water Pitcher with Tight Stainless Steel Lid, 68 Ounces, Heat Resistant Borosilicate Glass Carafe, Long Handle Cleaning Brush and Mixing Spoon, Durable and Temperature Safe

I've owned several pitchers and milk bottles in the past, and one of the problems I've always had was cleaning the inside. The reason why I bought this was because you can see in one of the pictures that someone has their hands inside the pitcher, cleaning it out. I can just barely fit my hand in dry (easier when wet, which it will be when cleaning), which is perfect. Not only that, but it came with a two-piece, sturdy cleaning sponge brush, just in case you have larger hands. The opening IS wide enough for average hands or smaller. The price is just right for regular glass, but this is made of borosilicate glass, which is stronger and more shock-resistant than regular glass. Although the pitcher is thinner and lighter than your typical glass pitcher, it's paradoxically stronger. Also, because this type of glass has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, you can heat it and cool it like Pyrex, and it has a greater chance of surviving. Anyway, I love this pitcher, which is perfect for lemonade or whatever. I'm going to be using it for storing plant-based milk I make from powder. This is just the right size (68 oz) for a few days worth of plant milk for my family. Last but not least, the top is smart, stainless-steel, well-designed with a large opening for pouring on one side, and holes for air intake (while pouring) on the other, for smooth pouring. Overall, you will not be dissatisfied with the build quality of the pitcher and top, and the sponge brush is a nice addition. Being able to (just barely) fit my hand into the mouth of the pitcher is a huge win! To summarize: thinner, lighter, stronger, can fit the average sized hand in for cleaning, top is well-designed, sponge brush is an added bonus. At this price, you could buy two, and still be doing well! I only needed one, so that was $20 well spent.

With the lid off it pour perfectly, but with the lid on (even if the hole is perfectly aligned), it does not pour as well as I hoped. Also be very careful of putting it near a window that gets sunlight, as it seems to have the ability to converge sunlight rays to a single focal point which generates enough heat to reach ignition temperature - see video - lucky I spotted/smelt this in time

I was looking for a light-weight glass pitcher for holding iced tea and other refrigerated drinks. Having a lid has turned out to be a plus. The Boroscillate glass is wonderful. It is truly heat resistent as well as easy to clean, even with big hands. Your beverage, whatever it is, will look great in the carafe. You won't have to worry about heat expansion breaking this glass. However, the sturdiness of the glass pitcher is yet untested. The glass is thin like a fine wine glass. So, like my fine blown glass flutes, I wash this carafe by itself very carefully. And like my wine glasses, I store the pitcher separately so not to clinck it with other dishes. So far, this is working and I enjoy its sleek looks and generous handle everyday. I'm sure you will, too. Oh! I almost forgot. The long metal stirrer is a real bonus. I use it alot.

I recently purchased this beautiful glass pitcher and am absolutely thrilled at the high quality and strength of the borosilicate glass. This pitcher can be frozen, refrigerated, or go directly on the stovetop on an open flame to boil water. Very elegant and classy, this glass pitcher looks great and fits right into my beautiful chef's kitchen. Everyone loves it! I liked this glass pitcher so much that I purchased 3. What I like about this product is its height. It was low enough for any shelf level in my refrigerator to maximize space and it’s lightweight. Also, it can hold both cold and hot liquids. Watch out for other pitchers in this price range cause they usually can only accommodate cold liquids. Note *The lid is not airtight. The product description wasn’t misleading, it’s just that it would be absolutely perfect with a sealed lid. Great price for this and looks well made.
