Does this replace the storage currently on the PS5 or is it additional storage?

It's additional storage and a M2 SSD that works in the enabled slot inside the PS5. That slot has very specific requirements as far as the capacity and SSD speeds and you find that info on the Sony website. I've got the 4TB with heatsink version of this SSD myself, which is the maximum capacity the PS5 can support. It works great.

What firmware version does it have? There were recent Phison E18 improvements for various scenarios
