Bought these for wearing under dresses as the teachers are apparently offended by a flash of underpants (but, go figure, boys pants hanging off their bottoms so you can see their underpants don't appear to be offensive). We wanted something with a shorter inseam as the ones that we currently have are long enough that they sometimes show underneath the dress hems. The mediums (7/8) fit a 48" tall, 23.5" waist, 50lb kiddo well with a bit of room to grow/stretch remaining. Only knocked off one star because 1) the packaging is annoying and I inadvertently snipped a bit of the fabric trying to cut them away from the hangers as they were attached so tightly and 2) the navy ones are a bit see-through. The pink ones don't seem as bad, but perhaps it's just that the slight pattern to the fabric makes it less obvious than on the solids.UPDATE: 16 months later and these are still working great for my kiddo. They still fit since she's gotten taller but not really any wider and they're not really showing much wear from use or washing even though she probably wears a couple pairs each week. She occasionally wears them with a T-shirt for gymnastics, too, even though they're a tiny bit thin for that but not enough that I worry about it.

My daughter won’t even be trying them on to assess the fit because they’re utterly useless. They are literally as thin as tissue paper. I can understand a true “undergarment” being on the thin side, but these are the thinnest shorts I’ve ever seen in my life (I’m not exaggerating, I’ve never seen anything like this...) even if she tried to wear them under a dress, you’d see her underwear RIGHT through them, so what would be the point?! Thank god for free return shipping, or I would be LIVID.

I bought these for my daughter for volleyball. They are completely see through and can not be worn! I would not recommend for sports.

I was hoping these would be like adult spandex, a nice thick short that could be worn alone or under clothes. But they are thin. Still decent for under dresses or over ballet tights.

I knew that these were going to be thin from reading other reviews but they weren’t kidding! Very sheer and you can see thru them even when they aren’t backlit. In addition, I bought a 4 pack and they were all all attached together using those tagging guns and a little plastic tie. This caused many HOLES in the shorts which are not only unsightly but they are running like nylon hosiery. These are unwearable now and damaged.

I bought these for my 7.5year old daughters to use at volleyball. They are absolutely perfect. The fit is excellent! They don't shift too much, squeeze too tightly around the thighs, nor do they pull away and gap.As a comparison, we purchased some bcg brand from academy sports and they gap around the bottom showing too much booty.Those are going back to the store.

My daughter is 11 and wears a size 12. Bought her the size 14 so she could use these a little longer. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is bc the solid black tights (both sets) are smaller than the others. one of the solid black is obviously smaller than the camo & pink one (and is kinda tight on my daugther) & the 2nd is slightly smaller than the pink. Either way the solid black (which is the ones we needed for my daughter & why I bought this set) is smaller than the others.

Bought these for my 6 year old to wear under dresses for school. Opened the package and about vomited on how strong the cat urine smell is!!!! It is absolutely disgusting. Obviously seller has cats and didn’t care at all that they were peeing all over the products before sending!!! BEWARE!!! I have an extreme cat allergy so hoping I don’t have a reaction from touching them
