These aren't just vanilla beans; they're the key to unlocking a world of rich, exotic flavors. Rated with glowing five stars, these beans are a revelation for homemade vanilla extract enthusiasts, especially when paired with 190-proof grain alcohol. Each bean in this collection is a testament to quality and aroma. Ranging from 4 to 6 inches, these Grade B beans are the unsung heroes of flavor extraction. While they may not have the aesthetic perfection of Grade A beans, in the realm of extract making, they're royalty. Their robust, oily skins hide a bounty of seeds, ready to infuse your alcohol with the luxurious essence of Tahitian vanilla. The magic happens when these beans meet high-proof grain alcohol. It's like a culinary alchemy, transforming a simple spirit into a rich, complex vanilla extract that surpasses anything store-bought. This homemade elixir is a game-changer for bakers and cooking aficionados, adding a depth of flavor to cakes, cookies, and a plethora of desserts that are nothing short of divine. But it's not just about the end product. The process of making vanilla extract with these beans is a journey in itself. It's a slow, rewarding venture into the art of infusion, a testament to the beauty of patience in cooking. Watching the alcohol gradually take on the rich, amber hue of vanilla is to witness a slow dance of flavors, a visual and aromatic delight. And let's not forget the value. Twenty-five beans provide ample opportunity for multiple batches of extract, making this a cost-effective investment for anyone serious about their vanilla. TL;DR: Vanilla Products USA's 25 Tahitian Extract Grade B Vanilla Beans are a dream come true for homemade extract makers, especially when used with 190-proof grain alcohol. 50 Tahitian Extract Grade B Natural Vanilla Beans 5~6"
I got the 50 Tahitian Extract Grade B Natural Vanilla Beans 5~6" to make vanilla extract for the holiday season as the batch I had made a few years ago is starting to run dry. First these feel like quality beans, the bag they came in was sealed very well and kept most of the moisture in the beans and the seeds. The average bean was 6 inches long and required cutting to fill the little bottles I use. and overall they have a good texture and smell to them. very easy to use for making extract. will buy again.

Short, skinny, and dry.
This is an updated review for my most recent purchase, April 2025. I have been buying my extract grade vanilla beans from FitNClean for the last couple of years but Amazon was out of stock of that brand so I ordered these from Vanilla Products. They are definitely smaller and drier than those I got from the other company There were still 4oz of beans in the package, it just took several more beans to reach that weight. They've only been on vodka for 24 hours so I cannot tell yet if the extract will be as strong but I'll update this review if the extract isn't as good as I require for my candy. Okay, if this was February 2016 I'd be very angry about paying $23 for these tiny little beans but it is 2018 and vanilla is in the middle of a worldwide shortage. When many vendors are asking $10 for a single bean I cannot complain too loudly. To begin the beans are quite small, barely 4" long and skinny. The 10 of them in this packet weighed just over 0.5oz. Luckily I still had two normal size beans left from before the shortage or I wouldn't have enough for a batch of extract. Everything is not bad news, though, because the beans were by no means dry - they were quite moist and sticky with a wonderful flavor and aroma. I am confident these beans will, with my two older Madagascar beans, make a usable extract. If for some reason they don't I'll report back in a couple of months.

50 count grade B beans = +/- 3.54oz.
Using 750ml Buffalo Trace bourbon to make extract. Extract = 1oz beans / 8oz alcohol 750ml = 25.361oz 25.361 divided by 8 = 3.17 50 grade B beans is more than enough to make this bottle of extract. Beans look good, smell good thru package. Will probably use all 3.54oz of beans for this batch since I don’t have use for left over beans. Will enjoy extract in 12 months.
