The coffee maker you won’t regret buying
This is the best coffee pot I have ever owned and believe me, I have owned a lot of different brands from Bunn to Kurig to Mr. Coffee. This beats them all! The taste of the coffee this coffee maker makes is phenomenal!! It is better than going out for coffee! I love all the different options from how strong or weak you want your coffee to be, how fast you want it to brew, to how hot you want the temperature of your coffee to be. It also has the great feature of how long you want your coffee to keep warm. It looks very nice in my kitchen and goes with all my other appliances. Oh and I have to mention that I no longer have to buy coffee filters so you will be saving money there and every dollar saved is a BIG deal in today’s economy. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker above any other it is the best tasting coffee I have ever had so if you are thinking about buying a great coffee maker, choose this one! You won’t regret it!!

Nice BIG!
This coffee maker is really great. It brews very nicely. The only problem is it’s huge. It does fit under the cabinet, barely. You’re gonna go have to watch the video to learn how to clean it and change the clock because it’s not simple but it does work and we love the .

Don't buy this one
I bought this in April of 25 and it worked great for about 6 months, and that's when it started leaking. Basically water drips from the piece holding the coffee filter and drips down to the hot plate and steams like crazy. When I called customer service I was first told that the handle on the coffee pot had to be pointed straight out. I was also told to press down hard on the coffee filter setup before brewing. It all seemed ridiculous, especially when I was told to take a video of the machine making a pot of coffee and send it to them for review. Seriously? After reading other reviews I realized that there's a defect with this pot and, until they come out with a new model, I wouldn't take a chance on this one. What I have found is that there is a piece on the back of the cone that holds the filter that locks into the back of the coffee maker to keep it secured down. Over time, in my case a few months, this piece weakens and allows the brewer to leak. If you pull this piece out to stretch it, it will lock in tighter and you might get a few non-leaky pots of coffee this way. I'm junking it for a Cuisinart instead. The customer service lady was pleasant but their process is nuts. All they need to do is send me a new part or tell me that they'd send me a new machine, but they didn't.

Very Pleasantly surprised!
This review will be in 2 parts. Order and delivery, because I was pleasantly surprised by the fast turnaround from ordering and, now, receiving after just two days. This was ordered late July 1st, and this is July 3rd. Therefore, thank you very much Amazon. Let's get down to business................ If anyone has had "cowboy" coffee, you know it's good and strong. But I don't live on the open plain and eat from a chuck wagon. The problem is there is way too much coffee waste for one person trying to figure out the right measure of coffee to water. Most times, it's the coffee that suffers. And for you non-cowboys out there, do not put the coffee grinds down the sink drain, not unless you want a big mess and an angry wife! So, here's the other kicker. I did some online investigation, which brought me to Good Housekeeping reviews, and this Braun was second overall in all the categories for performance, coffee taste, brewing, ease of operation, and much more. Now you know why I bought this machine. I've said this over and over again, sometimes you have to ignore the customer reviews and pay attention to the pros! And the price is a definite value. Well, that's the first half of this review. Next, unbox, read the instructions (I'm a huge fan of this), for tips and tricks and to stay away from, "Oh no!" Or "Oh s***! Trust me, I am tired of wasting my coffee. I enjoy cowboy cooking but this urban man needs to control expenses, but not at the expense of taste. This review will continue.....................see ya next time soon. Coffee, homemade bread, hot pepper jelly, and the 4th! This is the final stage........that first mug of coffee. Following the directions for a regular mug of coffee and waiting for the tone, the coffee was hot. I added my creamer, and oh, what a great-tasting coffee. There are many coffee maker brands from inexpensive to high-end, but paying $70 for a Braun, which was recommended by Good Housekeeping review, is a winner. Kitchen appliances are an investment; why not make a good one? Now, back to my great-tasting coffee. July 22, 2025..........I have a post script to this review.................... Regardless of what brand of coffee you use, all coffee has an oil that will leave a residue on the the craffe, the gold basket, even the plastic on or near the coffee when brewing. It is important to wash those that come in direct contact with the grounds with a dish detergent, and to wipe down those that are in indirect contact to keep the scale and "oil steam" clean. This ensures a great cup of coffee every time. And keeps your machine operating properly!

short life machine
This coffee machine has been working fine, except for occasionally leaking at the beginning of brewing. However, it stopped working suddenly after 18 months, like the one before, with a code E1, meaning need to call their customer service. I would NOT recommend it given its lifespan got shorter and shorter

Good coffee, but ...
This machine makes good coffee, and has been reliable. I have had mine for more than a year; there are some things I like about it, some I don't. And reading through other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who has noticed. First, read the instructions. there are important things to know. Also, keep the manual handy. Not all the setup controls are intuitive. The "clean" warning can be a bit annoying, and the process takes some time (running through the cycle twice). But it's most automatic. Second, and this is important: They do not tell this, but the control buttons do not have to be pushed firmly, only touched gently. Also, if you simply hit the "on" button, nothing will happen until you then tap a button for coffee strength. The biggest drawback is something other reviewers have noted: The goldtone filter alone does not filter out all the grounds, so I need a #4 paper filter in addition. However, water very regularly leaked from around the rim of the basket. This water dripped down the side of the carafe to the heating plate, where it vaporizes. (There is an audible popping and hissing.) Over a short time, the surface of the heating plate corroded. I routinely have to scrape the oxidized material away. I informed the people at Braun about it. They thanked me for my attention, but made no further effort to compensate me for this design problem. You may have better luck with this. But again, I see I'm not the only person to report this leaking and dripping. Update: After 15 months, I have had enough. I tried putting a collar around the filter holder to prevent water from dripping. That helped a little bit. I hate tossing a working appliance, but the heat plate looks awful (see photo) and the hissing and popping of dripped water landing on the heat plate is quite annoying. Coffeemakers usually last me 8-10 years. This does make good coffee; if you choose to buy this, I hope yours works better than mine did.

The touch screen controls are a complete fail
I’ve had this coffee maker about 6 months and every day I hate it more. The coffee is fine, I guess, but the touch screen buttons are impossible to figure out. I can not tell if I haven’t pressed it hard enough, or maybe in slightly the wrong spot, or not for long enough, or if the buttons are broken. I have never been able to adjust the temperature because that half of the display just doesn’t seem to work. Now it’s flashing “clean” at me and I can not get that button to work either. So I guess I have to throw it out?? What a stupid design, just make REAL buttons please!!!

Braun pure flavour 14 Cup
I like the 14-Cup capacity. The #4 cone filter works well in this unit. The carafe pours very well and is ergonomic. The carafe glass is thin making it fragile. The hot element coated with thin Teflon enamel shows wear within weeks if use. I like the water indicator so you can make the amount of coffee cups you wish to brew. I found it easy enough to program and the clock LED is well lit when it’s brewing and visible on stand-by mode. I’m happy with it after looking at many coffeemaker options. Best feature is how it timely infuses the coffee before it starts the brewing process. Makes excellent bold good tasting coffee. Overall the quantity of 14 cups is its selling feature. The bold brew option makes great coffee as I mentioned. You can hear the coffee maker brewing and gurgling when it’s brewing. The three audible beeps to announce the coffee is ready is faint to the ear. The clean and descaling mode when flashing orange takes approximately 20 minutes with descaling solution. I purchased a gallon of descaling solution from home hardware making it more cost efficient. Using the coffee maker daily the clean me light turns on every 4 months for the descaling process. Big D

Muy elegante
Es una buena cafetera ,pero se me hace que si hace un poco de desastre si no se limpia al instante después de usar porque que salpica ,hace las misma function que una cafetera de menor precio y el filtration de agua es difícil de limpiar si se ensucia .

Nearly caught fire
Came home from groceries and found this unit smoking and sputtering sparks. If we hadn't arrived home when we did this very well could have burned our house down. Was a great unit at first but if I'd known this could have happened I would have NEVER purchased to begin with.

Awesome coffee!
I've this coffee maker! The bold setting makes the coffee exactly how I love it! Little difficult to understand how to set things at first but just follow the diagrams in the manual and not so much the words. Some are off a little.

Great drip coffee maker
Braun quailty. Useful features and easy to use and clean. Uses # 4 cone filter that are easy to find. Great drip coffee ready in 10 minutes. Never fails. I bought this 2nd unit in the likelihood my existing Braun same model but much older dies out. But it still works fine so the new one is still in the box waiting.
