This is my third set of these lights and I absolutely love them. I have modified them by either gently trimming the post they come on so I have an interior tent light which in the picture I’ve taken I’ve removed the tent so you can see the lamp. In another project Ive also removed the post completely. Cut the cylinder at the bottom at an angle and rotated the bulb head. Glued back together and painted silver to make a sign post lamp in the ground. Finally ive also used them as a content creators camera and light for another camping scene and made a tripod out of cocktail sticks to complete the illusion. The lamps are wonderful. Yeah the wire can be fiddly as they are so very thin. But also that means I don’t have to drill such a big hole to hide the cable to the battery pack under the diorama. And yes the battery packs are purchased separately and I use ones from Amazon that take two AA batteries with a red and black wire protruding from the case. So yes these lamps are pretty much essential in my set ups and the fact that I’ve used them not just as street lamps but for other forms of lighting too. That for me is wonderful hence the 5 stars.

Bought two packs in March. Due to illness only getting to install them now. None of them are working and seems no way to return them as return window closed.

This product said it was coming with battery packs and it didn't- disappointed

Sehr schöne, preiswerte und gut verarbeitete Modellbaulaternen. Kein einziger Ausfall oder Defekt. Habe mir insgesamt 3 Sets je 8 Laternen bestellt, insgesamt 24 Stk. Genau richtig für mein Projekt im Maßstab 1:50. LEDs müssen mit Vorwiderstand betrieben werden,um diese nicht zu zerstören. Diese hier sind mit 3 Volt angegeben. Für den Betrieb habe ich einen 12V LED Trafo mit 500mA (von IKEA). (Effektive Ausgangsspannung 11,85V). Habe mir Widerstände (150 Ohm, 0,5W) dazu bestellt und betreibe 3 LEDs in Reihe geschaltet mit ca. 20mA. (Es gibt kostenlose LED Vorwiderstandsrechner und gute Erklärungen zu LED-Betrieb im Internet) Als Sockel für die Laternen habe ich mir PVC-Kabelkanal (15×15mm) dazu gekauft. Habe die Laternen in den Bohrlöchern des Kanal mit Heißkleber befestigt. Der Hohlraum des Kanal eignet sich dann perfekt zum Verkabeln und Verlöten. Der Heißkleber bringt dann genug Gewicht ein, dass es stabil steht. Es ist ein wenig Bastelarbeit und entsprechendes Werkzeug, sowie etwas technisches Verständnis erforderlich - mir war es klar, aber das sollte der Anbieter in seinem Angebot unbedingt erwähnen. Da für mich Modellbau maßgeblich mit Kreativität und Bastelarbeit einhergeht, bin ich sehr zufrieden und werde definitiv mehr davon bestellen. Bedingungslose Weiterempfehlung.
