The cover is very handsome, the dots are a good lightness/darkness. Sharpie ultra fine bled through, but Sharpies do that to everything. The other pens I tried - Microns, Flairs, and Pitt Artist Pen had some amount of ghosting. The biggest issue I have with this notebook is the two bookmark ribbons. I haven't even started using this yet, was just paging through it, and the ribbons fell out. They seem to be held in by a really cheap piece of transparent tape, not even glued. If the book marks are important to you, don't get this. I wasn't super pleased that no attempt was made to harmonize the ribbon color with the color cover, but that's a small detail. I'm not sure what this bad construction says about the durability of the notebook overall. I'll use it for a few months and edit this if necessary.ETA: The dots are not square. Horizontally, they measure 4 mm, and vertically they are 5 mm. Be wary if you are relying on the dots to make something square. I've done quite a bit of bujo set up with this journal, and overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. The pages are very smooth and nice to write on. There is quite a bit of ghosting, and if you lay markers (even Crayola Supertips) on too thick, they will bleed.

Well made, good material. Small enough to fit in back pocket.

both string dividers fell out within the first day. the binding on the back separated. pages were uneven so that the dot grid from page to page did not line up.
