I hope and pray this company stays in business. Handmade in England means you get top quality. I love these whistles. I have now taken extra steps to make SURE these do not get lost. Super loud ! Super tough!I know they will last decades because I still have my father's from 1950 ! I do NOT carry it. The Thunderer is the best value and best return for the price. INVEST in Acme !

This is a quality made whistle by a Legend in whistle manufacturing! Accept no alternates! The ACME Thunderer is made from solid brass that is heavily chromed. It is very loud and the sound carries for 300-500 yards. We use these whistles exclusively for hunting deer with dogs in organized hunt drives in the terrain of Northern Canada. We require a consistently loud whistle that withstands the harsh fall/winter climate and carries sound for maximum distances. i would highly recommend this product for sports, fun or survival use.

This Acme Thunder is an attention getter. One blow and you have everyone's attention. Will bring a large noisy crowd to a complete standstill and silence. Cops use this for crowd control and traffic direction.

This is not a cheap gumball machine whistle. No sir. This is the real deal, it's got some heft to it, it's extremely loud and makes me feel important. I've made it! I'm a teacher!

The whistle is small but still loud. It is NOT an official rugby size, but not bad to have in your kit as a backup.

I carry this to blow if needed for personal security. I also give it to lady relatives for the same purpose. As an aside, I blew this in Sam's Warehouse, when no staffer would pay any attention to me in order verify to the robot cashier that I am an adult (I am in my 70s). It works well in getting customer service! ;)
