MegaChlor-CD is the only salt chlorine generator on the market that powers on automatically, keeping your water perfectly chlorinated at all times. - GENTLE ON EYES AND SKIN – The electrolysis process produces chlorine from salt, which naturally softens water for above ground pools and swim spas up to 17,000 gallons. The soft, gentle feel makes the MegaChlor-CD a better choice for those with sensitive skin. - SIMPLIFIES POOL MAINTENANCE – The MegaChlor-CD chlorinator is the only saltwater chlorine generator for residential spas and above ground swimming pools with chlorine detection built into the electrode. The self-cleaning reverse polarity system reduces time spent worrying about maintenance, giving you more time to relax and enjoy the clean water. - EASY TO INSTALL AND USE – Using its built-in chlorine detection system, the MegaChlor-CD will generate only what it needs, when it needs it. This plug-and-play system does not require any plumbing or mechanical alterations. Instead, the electrode drops straight into the main body of water and automatically chlorinates from there. Megachlor-CD offers a simple solution for converting spa systems to saltwater and is compatible with manufacturer warranties due to its lower salt usage. - MADE IN THE USA – All ControlOMatic products are made in the USA and come with a 1-year warranty. The package includes a MegaChlor-CD Control Box, MegaChlor-CD Electrode, 12 VDC Power Supply with 110-240 VAC Input, test strips (salt, free chlorine, pH, alkalinity, hardness), a card with QR code for Warranty activation and User Manual. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01ITWC8FA | | Best Sellers Rank | #578,095 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #1,902 in Hot Tub Accessories | | Brand | ControlOMatic | | Brand Name | ControlOMatic | | Customer Reviews | 3.4 out of 5 stars 29 Reviews | | Item Form | Granular | | Item Weight | 110 g | | Manufacturer | ControlOMatic | | Manufacturer Part Number | megachlor-cd | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 year manufacturer | | Model Number | megachlor-cd | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Benefits | Maintains Clean Sanitized Water | | UPC | 699466711218 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ControlOMatic - **Item Form:** Electronic - **Item Weight:** 1.5 pounds - **Product Benefits:** No electrical or plumbing needed, Safe for an tub - **UPC:** 689466711998 ## Images ![MegaChlor-CD Saltwater Chlorine Generator with Auto Chlorine Monitoring, Automatically Activates as Needed, for Swim Spas and above Ground Pools Up to 17,000 Gallons - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61P1la5xA+L.jpg) ![MegaChlor-CD Saltwater Chlorine Generator with Auto Chlorine Monitoring, Automatically Activates as Needed, for Swim Spas and above Ground Pools Up to 17,000 Gallons - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81pnGigla6L.jpg) ![MegaChlor-CD Saltwater Chlorine Generator with Auto Chlorine Monitoring, Automatically Activates as Needed, for Swim Spas and above Ground Pools Up to 17,000 Gallons - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91COPAkOF9L.jpg) ![MegaChlor-CD Saltwater Chlorine Generator with Auto Chlorine Monitoring, Automatically Activates as Needed, for Swim Spas and above Ground Pools Up to 17,000 Gallons - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/812RSnI6iSL.jpg) ![MegaChlor-CD Saltwater Chlorine Generator with Auto Chlorine Monitoring, Automatically Activates as Needed, for Swim Spas and above Ground Pools Up to 17,000 Gallons - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41TG5Z6hv3L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the chlorine sensor shut unit off at a predetermined level?** A: The MegaChlor will produce chlorine for a period of time and then go into an off-cycle (standby mode) for 3 hours and then repeat.
