Where have you been all my life???
June 2023 review One year later and I still love my tortilla press! Not only do I love it but also my mom. So much that I bought her one and just recieved it. We made corn tortillas right away to test out her press. She loves it so much! Yes it's more expensive than other brands but believe me when I say that it makes such nice tortillas! If you make your dough very soft you don't even have to flip it to get the same thickness on both sides. Its easy to take care of just clean with a damp towel and make sure to dry it. I always leave it open after I clean it to air out. Once a month I oil it with food safe oil, not cooking oil but the one for cutting boards. It still looks like new and i use it twice a week to make tortillas. I highly recomand it! Me and mom are really happy with it. April 2022 review This is a great tortilla press! I have had 3 of them before this one. One made them too thick and the other two made them fat in the center and thin on the edges. This one is PERFECT! I got the 12" size because it's easier to work with. You have more work space and dont have to worry about your dough coming out the sides in case you made your dough ball too big. One side does come out slightly thicker than the other side but all you do is flip it and give it another light press. This is normal with almost all tortilla presses. The tortillas come out nice and thin just like the store bought ones but better because they are home made. The press is not heavy but is a little big so plan on storage. I only use this type of press for corn tortillas and not flour. Flour tortillas are better rolled out because of the gluten. In my pictures I show side by side the thickness of the corn tortilla. The yellow tortilla is the one I made and the white one is store bought. You can see they are almost the same thickness. Spending $130 + tax was totally worth it!

Best decision made
I bought this to replace a tortilla press made by my great grandfather, it has been passed down my family, to my mother. My mother is fond of her tortilla press, all the memories and family history makes her very attached to it. The quality over time deteriorated which is I why I looked for a replacement and eventually found this one. I wasn't sure how well my gift would be received but it was worth a try. My mother wasn't happy at first but I convinced her to try it out and she couldn't stop talking about it after the first week, it became her favorite press. The 10 inch oak and wood press is really beautiful. We use it basically on a daily basis, several times a days; almost 1.5 years later it's still standing and with no issues. We've traveled with it, as funny as it may seem, to several states and have had no issues or noticed anything concerning after repeated use. The quality of the press is amazing and we had no issues at all from the day we received it, I recommend without a doubt. Price wise, it does seem a little high at first but for the quality you're receiving makes it worth it in the long run. The size of the press is just right, neither too big or too small; my main concern when purchasing is whether it would be too bulky on the countertop or too small and impractical. Review the sizing before purchasing, make sure it fits your needs and enjoy because you won't regret it.

Beautiful and Functional
I bought the 11.5 inch version for pie dough. I just can’t roll out dough evenly. This gets it started and then I can roll it out a bit more, if needed. I also bought the 12-inch round parchment paper, but found a gallon-sized plastic storage bag cut open works best. I’ll use the parchment paper to store tortillas. Note that flour tortillas, because of the gluten, will not press thin. But, you can get it started and then roll it out some more by hand. That said, the thickness was perfect for chapati bread. That’s what I called my too-thick flour tortillas and they were delicious. You can also use this for pizza dough. This is much more than a tortilla press. It’s very attractive. If you have problems, contact the seller. I had an issue with putting on the handle, which arrives unattached so it won’t break during shipment. (It’s easy to attach.) Also, the wood they selected for the piece attached that you press the handle against looked like it was not stained properly. The seller advised that they do not use stain (which is good), but agreed that the piece should not have been used. He offered to replace it or give a credit. I chose the credit. He took care of it right away. The rest of the wood is beautiful as you can see in the pictures and video. Highly recommended.

Beautifully Made and Functional
I'm so pleased with this purchase! We often make our own tortillas and use a little aluminum press we picked up at a Mexican grocery store. I've always wanted a wooden press because that's the way they make the tortillas in our favorite restaurants. This press is made so beautifully with so much attention to detail that I will leave it out on my counter to show it off. I used it for the first time this week and it did an amazing job! I was able to get the corn masa thin enough to make the perfect tortilla. For the people that left negative reviews because this isn't a good tool for making Roti or flour tortillas- it says right in the description that this is not the right tool. Hats off to this little company making such a beautiful product!

Beautiful, mostly useful tortilla press
Reasons I bought this press: 1.) Rolling tortillas takes a lot of time and effort for what I get out of it. My husband LOVES the homemade tortillas, I personally am fine with store bought. So making homemade wasn't something I did very often. I wanted a press that would make the process less effort for me. This press overall does make the process easier. It does not make the tortillas as thin as I would like on its own. I use a cut gallon bag ziplock bag as a liner so after I press them I also roll them. The press does give me a good, round starting point so that I only have to roll a couple of times before I get the thickness I want. 2.) I wanted to be able to make large tortillas/pizza dough. This was the reason I chose THIS press. Most of the presses aren't as big as this one. I do like that I can make a large pizza crust quickly without having to roll out sticky dough. Our family easily eats 2 pizza's in one meal and will only need to make more as our boys get older. This press will be a life saver over the years. 3.) This press is beautiful. I can leave it on the counter and use it frequently without having to dig out another piece of kitchen equipment. I don't use/have a lot of specialty kitchen equipment, but this was one thing I requested. The reason it gets 4 stars is that it doesn't get the flour tortilla's as thin as I would like. To be fair I knew it would be a long shot to get something to press the tortillas super thin, but I expected this press to get them thinner after reading other reviews. I added extra layers (super thin cutting boards) to help make the tortillas thinner, but even that was insufficient. Overall, I would recommend this press. It feels like it will last for years to come and I look forward to making many delicious tortillas/pizzas/???.

Beautiful as well as great functionality
This tortilla press is beautifully crafted. But more importantly, it is a standout in functionality. I have been making corn tortillas for quite a while, using a cast iron tortilla press. However, they never quite got to the point where I was really pleased with them. I decided to purchase this hardwood version after reading about it and about hardwood presses in general. One of the main things I wanted was a corn tortilla that was a little thinner. I submitted a question to the owner and he responded very quickly. I received the press and made a batch of corn tortillas the same day. Wow! This press helped produce the thin corn tortilla I had been looking for. The press is beautiful to look at and to use and the 8" size is perfect for the typical size of corn tortillas. Note to other reviewers who were less than pleased in using it for flour tortillas -- it is NOT meant for flour tortillas. I have been making flour tortillas for a long time as well and they need to be rolled out with a small rolling pin -- not pressed.
