Magnetic Building Blocks Set Special Needs Toys for Kids with Autism, Great for Autistic Boys and Girls, 3 Years Old and Up

I have recently gotten into Simplicity Parenting as taught by Kim John Payne. He has taught me that it is better for children to have fewer toys and to pick the types of toys that promote deep play for children, where they get to dig deep into their own creativity rather than Disney's, Matel's or the toy makers who make the types of toys that tell our children how to play.When I was introduced to BizyBeez I was very excited because this is the type of toy that promotes creativity and deep play. I bought this toy for my 17 month old child but I discovered my 7 year old, my 12 year old, my 15 year old and my husband all love playing with the shaped magnets to see what they can come up with.The thing that is so great about this toy is that it is a toy I can enjoy playing with my kids. I can't stand when my daughter wants to play barbies! So I suggest this toy instead and it's a win win win!I highly recommend this product as I do all toys that promote creativity and deep play for children. We need so much more of this for our kids!

My 7 month old loves these. They are large colorful pieces with various textures and two different polarized magnetic ends. Fun and stimulating to play with. I imagine blocks will only be even more enjoyable as my son grows to use them in more ways.

These are nice and sturdy. My two boys ages 4 & 6 love to play with them. It simulates their creative mind and keeps them engaged for long periods of time. I knocked off one star because the magnets are not very strong. My kids like to build something and then play with it. Unfortunately, their creation always comes apart while they are playing with it and it is very frustrating for them to have to keep rebuilding because it won't stay together for any length of time. Nevertheless, they still love them and continue creating.

These are so SO fun!!!! My 3 year old LOVES them and played with them for an hour straight the morning they arrived... I could hardly drag him away from them! It was so fun to watch and interact with him as he built trains and cars (he especially loved the wheels!) and made up stories about what they were and what they were doing. The pieces were easy to manage with his little hands and appear to be very well made. the toy felt sturdy and of good quality. I already can't wait to get them out again and see what he comes up with next!

This set is a Christmas Present for our 3 year old daughter with Down syndrome. So we haven't opened them yet. But we have followed the company that developed them and are excited for Christmas morning. Parents of children that have special needs often hunt down toys that meet those therapeutic benefits we hope for when building strength, increasing fine and gross motor skills and learning. My favorite part of this toy is that it will engage not only our 3 year old, but the pieces are the right size that they can also be introduced to her 8 month old sister who also has Down syndrome. And it will be a toy her 8 year old brother can engage with her in creative play. We know the innovative family that developed these toys and appreciate and support their desire to cast their net of inclusion to really find a product that is not only fun, but helps families. Whether your child is typical or has developmental delays I believe this product is a winner that won't disappoint.

I purchased a few of these for my grandchildren for Christmas. The magnet sets we had before were all one shape. This set has so many different pieces to choose from. It lets them be creative and design what ever their minds can think up. They like the colors, different designs and patterns. The wheels and building stand are awesome.

Bought this product for Christmas and was a real hit for a while with seven year old to nine month old boys and girls. Now the kids go for the "old school" toys and the MagStix mostly stay in the bag. Disappointed in the wheels that have not really stayed on from day one.

My grandkids LOVE these! I would give them six stars if that was available. My kiddos are aged 1-12 and can build all kinds of things.So good for their imagination! These toys are so bright, colorful, easy-to-grasp and just plain fun. Plus, what mother or grandmother doesn't just appreciate the toy bag that comes with the set? I may get a second box!
