Sticky Whole Grain- Delicious!
Despite the tiny little individual grains, this cooks into a very sticky, solid mass, easily spooned into portions. Cooks simply, like Quinoa or whole grain rice (only faster). Directions say 1 C dry Millet / 2 C Water, boil, cover, reduce heat for 20 mins, serve. I find it absolutely needs more water- 2.5 C. (Otherwise it cooks far too dry, & sticks @ bottom of pan). With sufficient water, it cooks up very sticky & dense, almost like polenta. It's extremely versatile & delicious, with a yummy, dense, sticky, meaty texture & mild, earthy flavor.I enjoy it with fruit, sunflower seeds, & soymilk for breakfast, or as a base for red beans or lentil / veg. stew. Yeah, I'm vegetarian, but this is definitely a hearty, filling, satisfying base for any meal. Also- A little goes a long way. It's very filling- I'm full after eating only a half serving. Delicious, will keep in constant whole grain rotation! Definitely worth trying. I bought a single bag to start with, but will now buy the multi-bags for better pricing.

It's easy to use and versatile
We had never tried millet. I decided to when I saw what a deal it was. It's easy to use and versatile. We toast it in a frying pan and then cook it in our rice cooker. One way we like it is to use it like oatmeal fill a bowl and top with fruit, nuts, maple syrup and/or honey. It's also very good with some grilled veggies like zucchini and carrots.

This is great product, very clean
This is great product, very clean, unlike some millet you can buy. I toast it lightly with some nuts (sunflower seeds, pecans, etc.) dry in a pan until it starts to make a crackling noise, then add twice the amount of water, bring to a boil, cover & cook for 20 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then stir & let cool or eat. I keep it in the fridge & eat if for breakfast, just heat it up, maybe add fruit. Easy, healthy, and delicious.

Not just for birds
This classic grain not only tastes good, but ranks as maybe the ultimate no-fuss grain. Cook for twenty minutes at medium heat, and serve with raisins and a touch of salt. The cereal is slightly crunchy and satisfying. Wasting this tasty grain on birds is a judgment call, but I think it's a classic - and deserves a place on your regular breakfast menu. The product from Arrowhead Mills is fresh and lasts for a long time.

If it was good enough for The Three Bears...
Millet is a small grain that, unlike most grains, is alkalizing. Which is fine. But what i so love about millet is the taste which alivens the the senses and beckons a return to simpler moments. Add organic maple syrup, real organic butter and a little real milk or half and half and you return to a deeper sensitivity instead of processed goo from processed corporations. This millet is the real thing. And certified organic. If you haven't tried it, please do while this beautiful planet struggles with all the wrong corporate decisions to eviscerate it. By the way: this IS the porridge written about in Goldilocks & The Three Bears. If it was good enough for them...[fill in your own answer after tasting it...]...

Excellent millet.
This is wonderful in rice. I add millet to rice when I steam cook rice and makes it more nutritious and tastier. The quality of this millet grains is very good with a nice yellow color and protein taste.

So so. Lacks flavor
This is not the bright yellow and flavorful mullet that I like and was expecting. The grain is gray, takes a long time to cook and lacks flavor. Sorry. I’ll be looking for a different brand.
