Perfect. Only issue is Synapse and everyone hates that anyway.
So, unlike a lot of other people on here, I'm just going to say this keyboard is perfect for me so far. Yeah, if you get a defective product from ANYWHERE, you send it back and get a new one. When you buy electronics of any type you do have a risk of not receiving a flawless one, yes. Welcome to technology. Anyways, I got this keyboard with the orange switches and I love them. My last keyboard was a K65 LUX RGB which has a similar form factor and used Cherry MX Reds. These Razer Orange keys have a bump before they're fully pressed down which gives a nice amount of feedback while typing or gaming. The sound is very.. tight and feels mostly contained within the keyboard itself. The version with orange switches is not even remotely loud compared to a lot of other switches, most of the noise is just the keys bottoming out above the faceplate (which I believe is also metal.) Very nice sound without being overbearing. Lighting? Perfect if the software works. I have a Lancehead mouse and I organized these on the virtual table on Chroma Studio to talk to each other and it works flawlessly with whatever color design or scheme you want. Doesn't feel like I've ever missed any keys registering and the MAGNETIC wrist rest is absolutely incredible. If you have very, very big hands you may not be able to comfortably use it but I feel that goes for most keyboards. Probably shouldn't get a TKL in that case. Build feels nice, a little heavy, some plastic, some metal. Detachable cable is braided, and.. detachable. Quickly recognized and working after plugged in. I got this for $70 on sale which is an unbelievable deal and I probably should have bought more than one. I would not pay more than 100 or 120 at the most though.. at that point you might get into what COULD be slightly more premium things. Different market. If it's around 100 get it. It puts letters on a screen. (Edit: June 2025 and I am still using this keyboard. Absolutely perfect. Shame they got rid of the orange switches.)

Best tkl keyboard ive ever used with the best wristrest for any keyboard.
I have both the orange and yellow switch versions of this keyboard and its the most solid keyboard ive used. For reference, ive had a lot of keyboards including the original blackwidow chroma (green switches), blackwidow chroma v2 (green switch non TE version), lg pro, corsair k95 plat rgb (brown switches), rog strix flare (red switches), and more. Yellow was great but i just never got used to how sensitive the switches were so orange was the perfect fit for my preferences. Razer has always had the stigma of being over gamery but the font on this js very pleasantly presentable; not edgy gamery. Lighting is nice and even. Switches are responsive and feel great to type on. I have no clue as to why but on some keyboards like the lg pro, i miss keys and just struggle with some but this keyboard works so well for me, i absolutely love it. Typing on this is a breeze. Software is aight. Just wish i could control the brightness more, rather than a "bright, normal, dim, off" setting, but thats a seriously small nitpick.

Nice little tkl gaming rgb keyboard
Product arrived in a box that had a dent in it, and the seam of the armrest was damaged so that you could see the foam. Started a request with Razer but determined I would return this product after testing. Great rgb effects and the brown switches were very nice. the symbols across 1-0 do not light up, along with a few other symbols (function). No dedicated media controls, but function key provided some across the top. Keys were great to press and the form factor was sleek. Armrest was comfy and plushy. Honestly all the things I wanted in a keyboard! I was unsure about converting to a tkl keyboard and I now know they are not for me, I work in an office and default to the keypad more than I realized. I also prefer a keyboard with dedicated function keys. Converting to a Corsair K95.

Great upgrade
You're not going to get a better deal for a quality keyboard when this is 50% off, as it is now. The Razer software is very easy to use (I changed the "pause break button" to be a mute button instead, the "page up" to be a volume up, "page down" to be volume down. and "scr lk" to be a button to mute microphones) I've seen a couple reviews say you have to log in to software for the keyboard settings to work every time you boot your computer. That is fake news. The orange switches are very comfortable to type on as well. I truly liked my K55 keyboard, but I couldn't go back to it after having this. Much better for both typing and gaming. If you're concerned about the lack of a number pad you can buy one for cheap on Amazon as well (there's a nice one with blue switches for $16 as of typing this), while still having a much smaller footprint on your desk than a full size keyboard. The wrist rest is also very comfortable as long as you have the back stands up to elevate the keyboard (that's just my preference though).

Not silent but noticeably quieter than the green switches and still feels great to use.
I used a regular Black Widow Chroma for years before switching to this one. I use it primarily for gaming so I like the feedback and feel of a mechanical keyboard but I wanted something quieter. While this is definitely not silent, it is noticeably quieter than the green switches. I took to the feel of the orange switches immediately with no issue as they really do have a pleasant feel in my opinion. They still give satisfying feedback with each key press despite feeling different so it was easy to swap to this one without feeling like anything was lost between the two. If you're looking for something truly silent, this is not it, but there's an obvious difference compared to the green switches. This tenkeyless one doesn't have the USB port on the side like the normal one and I do miss that but I knew this upon buying it. The power cord is a very ample length though; my tower is several feet away from my desk and there is cord to spare. The RGB lighting is stellar and each key can be individually programmed to any color you can think of. With Razer Synapse, you can save multiple profiles that are easy to switch between and the level of customization you get is almost overwhelming because there is just so much you can do. You can set it to stay on the color(s) you want or pick one of many light patterns and also change the brightness. I think Synapse is quite user friendly and I was able to easily figure out how to do everything I wanted with it just by playing around with it a little on my own. I've never used a wrist pad before but this came with one so I tried it out. It's magnetic and snaps right on and stays securely but I really disliked using it. It's nicely padded but I felt it raised my wrist a little too high for it to feel natural during use. Luckily it isn't built in so I just easily removed it and simply don't use it. After weeks with this, I'm extremely happy with it. It's in perfect condition and I have no issues with any keys sticking or anything like that. I had my previous Razer keyboard for many years and it's still going strong. I only switched because I wanted a smaller and quieter one and I've seen nothing at so far that would make me doubt this one's longevity.

Arrived with loose space bar, was able to fix, but...
Review is for the BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 TKL. This keyboard had an unacceptably loose, wiggly space bar. I would have returned the keyboard but I took the space bar off and was able to tighten up the action by bending the wire guide and adding a rubber o-ring to the switch. Not ideal. When everything works properly this is a nice keyboard. I docked one star for the quality control problems and a second star, bringing it to three, because Razer made some design decisions with this keyboard that are bad for gaming. Let's start with the wrist rest. I feel this is a real shame, because the wrist wrest is super comfortable, but: I find it sucks for gaming. It is too high, leaving the left hand elevated above the keys with no real tactile feedback on where over the keys the hand is positioned. The feedback from the wrist rest is uniformly pillowy. Again, very comfortable and feels marvelous, but not good for gaming. Particularly a game where the left hand is moving around and reaching a lot for hotkeys. Think RTS like StarCraft 2 or MMOs or MOBAs. I'm using the keyboard without the wrist rest which yields better results, but then the profile and angle of the keyboard feels tall and severe, respectively. Next, and this is a serious gripe: The keys are a slick ABS with no, and I mean NO, texture. This contributes again to problems with keystroke accuracy because there is no texture feedback from the keys. When using the wrist rest it is like having a keyboard that you can barely feel under your hand. Again, comfortable but it is bad for gaming. The fact that Razer sells textured PBT keycaps separately is pretty offensive. This is an expensive keyboard and they should have shipped it with the superior keycaps. I don't love it enough to spend an extra $30 making the keycaps not-terrible, because that leaves the combined problem of the wrist rest and tall profile. Some positive points. There are more than a few. I got the orange switches and they have a light, satisfying tactical feel with none of the clicky noise. Rubber o-rings can be used, making this a very quiet keyboard with them installed. I used clear o-rings to minimize disruption to the lighting. I'm a forceful typist and I make all but the quietest keyboards obnoxiously loud, so this degree of quiet in a mechanical keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. Without the rubber o-rings it still clacks quite a bit when the keys bottom out. My spouse hates clicky keyboards in the house. The software allows a lot of customization of the lighting. It is very cool. The HyperShift functionality allows Caps Lock to function as a software-based modifier. Through software, every key with the exception of the Windows, Fn and F1 through F12 keys can be reprogrammed with alternative actions in either regular or HyperShift mode. The macro support is good, but note: Certain uses of the macro features on devices like this can get you banned from online games, especially competitive ones. So exercise caution and restraint. ;) This is a nice keyboard to type on even though I don't love it for gaming. The palm/wrist rest is very comfortable, the key action is good with keys that don't move around too much under my fingers. The ergonomics of the modifier keys is excellent, and the modifiers are large making it easier to find them. Windows key, Alt+F4 and Alt+Tab can be disabled through gaming mode. Key travel is a little shorter than your average mechanical keyboard, and with rubber o-rings it becomes even shorter, bottoming out around 3mm. I like that. I also bought a Deathadder V2 mouse and unfortunately had to return the first one for being defective and already retired the second one for being ineffective due to a poorly designed and implemented right mouse button. I tried to give Razer a go with this build but I won't be staying with their products.

Comfortable, Quiet, Amazing Effects
I just upgraded to this awesome keyboard from a 2014 Blackwidow Ultimate (with Green Switches). I'm really glad I waited until they had the full RGB setup with software support. I loved the old school Razer green color on the 2014, and I probably would have kept using it for longer had there been more effects available besides breathing mode. The Blackwidow V2 TE totally delivers on the effects and the overall color of the keyboard. I opted for the Orange switches and find that I miss the feel of the Green but I appreciate the smooth quietness of these Oranges. As for as nixing the tenkey and macro keys. I noticed I really only miss the bottom right enter key. I used to hit it with my thumb from the mouse when it was appropriate and I find myself still curbing that muscle memory. Overall I love the TE model, it fits really nice on my small desk. Bonus points for the comfortable, easily removable wrist rest.

Just a stop-gap for me
Pretty good, for a Razer product. I was using it as a temporary fix until I got a +10 key version with newer better key switches.

Amazing keyboard
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I am so happy with it. I've been using it for some time now and really enjoy how quite it is. The only thing I wish was different would be the cable for connecting it at the keyboard end. Would have liked to see USB C. I've only made one change to the keyboard since purchase and that was textured keycaps for the WASD keys.

It's really good
My previous keyboard was a Razer DeathStalker for over 5 years, and today I switched to the BlackWidow Tournament Edition with orange switches, and I have to say that I'm impressed. The difference is huge going from a chiclet keyboard to a mechanical keyboard with such craftsmanship.

Space came loose, some keys are double typing.
Keyboard came with a loose spacebar, box was in beat up condition, some of the keys double register such as the I, A, ;, and right arrow key. Right arrow barely registers. Ordered another one hoping it would be better.
