Update-5/25 took on vacation. Easy to pack. Worked perfectly in the hotel room. I really like that it's easy to clean.*******Works as described.I like that the lid is fully removable so you can properly clean the inside.The manual states to clean by boiling water in it twice. Which I did. Worked as described.I bought for travel. It's compact and functional without being over-engineered. I think it will be perfect. I'm the only one who drinks coffee or tea. Hotel coffee is never good and I personally believe the popular big coffee chain found on every corner is an abomination and insult to good quality coffee.I did use COLD filtered water from the fridge and it took 7 minutes on the dot to boil. I'm sure if you use room temp water it will take less time. It's not a big deal to me.

I've had this for a couple years and like it better than any of the full sized kettles I've had before. The lower power draw compared to 1.2 liter ones is a lot nicer to my solar setup and the size is perfect for my french press.

I have tested it several times in preparation for travel use. It heats very quickly. It is a bit larger than I had hoped, but will fill the interior with travel items when I pack it. It does have to be washed and heated several times to remove the pungent smell.

Water heats up quickly. Lid detach is so it makes it very easy to. It’s a small kettle that heats up about 2 cups of water very fast. Looks beautiful.

In searching for a kettle I read many reviews and could not be happier with my choice. I will count the ways I love it: 1. Stainless Steel interior, is the safest (no toxic plastic), 2. Auto shut-off, a great safety feature. 3. Boils Fast! 4. Lid is removable making it easy to clean and big enough to boil an egg or make ramen if desired. 5. The manually retractable cord stores neatly under the base. It’s size is perfect for travel, fits easily in carry-on or checked luggage — you can store coffee, tea or socks inside when traveling. I purchased it 6 weeks ago and have already traveled with it to 3 locations in USA & Mexico and it worked perfectly!
