The tabs are made of thicker and tougher hide, and the leather pieces do not have any hair on its surface. The inner flap that comes in contact with the string is smoothly finished, and outer tab in contact with fingers is suede-finished. Once you nock the arrow, the hold is secure. The leather pieces are stitched, in addition to the stylish brass riveting. What a heavy-duty finish it is. The leather piece that secures to the middle finger is held by elastic cord, and is adjustable through a metallic cord lock. The new tab is stiff, but release is buttery smooth. The prolonged use will soften up the leather and condition it. I might even speed up the process with leather conditioner cream. I am glad to find this product.
