Essential Phone PH-1 Case, TUDIA Carbon Fiber Design Lightweight [TAMM] TPU Bumper Shock Absorption Cover for Essential Phone PH-1 (Black)

So, I just purchased the Essential Phone PH-1 after having owned the LG V10 for the last couple of years. While the phone is a smaller for factor than the V10 the actual screen size is comparable to the V10. I was pleased with how fast the new phone is. What is also FAST is how quickly this phone will slide off of just about anything. I have owned a phone as slippery as this one - it's like greased lightning.Consequently I determined that I needed a case for this new beauty. Now, I have to tell you that I hate putting cases on my phones. No matter how light weight the manufacturer says the case is I just hate the bulk and the perceived extra weight that the case adds to the phone. So, I searched Amazon and found that there are really only a few cases to choose from for the Essential phone. Of all the reviews that were posted this one by TUDIA looked the most promising.So, I made the investment and the seller shipped it promptly.Impressions:The case is well-made - some reviewers say it is "soft" while others describe the case as hard. I describe it as "just right". It fits the phone like a glove. The covers for the side buttons still allow for easy access to the UP, DOWN, and ON/OFF buttons. No extra squeezing required - just the right amount of resistance.The cutouts match the phones camera and LED lights perfectly. The case provides a very slight raised edge to the screen bezel providing a small amount of space between the screen and table top should you decide to lay the phone face-down.While some reviewers remark that they aren't wild about the style of this case I find it refined and understated. It doesn't detract from the phone at all but it has a touch of "industrial" look it. It compliments the phone.AND NOW: the phone doesn't slide all over the place! This case does just what I wanted it to do and it does it well. For me, at least, it was a worthwhile investment and I expect that this case will provide durability and functionality for quite a while.

I was a little wary about this one because I'm not the biggest fan of TPU style cases. The thing that got me though was the clicky buttons. I don't like putting on a beautiful, or functional case and the buttons on the case make the phones buttons mushy. This case keeps them crisp and you can feel them easily.Disclaimer, I haven't used any other case on this phone, but have used many cases on many different brands, so will be using my experience from those.I searched a lot when I got the Essential on the prime day sale and was a little disappointed with the lack of options for this phone. I'm only an Android user and have never heard of Tudia before so I was kind of like, meh not sure. I liked the design, the looks, and the explanations for it but again had never tried it before. I almost cancelled the order when it was taking so long ship, but I'm very glad I waited. I may order another case to just try, but I think the Tudia is perfect for me. It provides good protection around the sides and back, has good grips, feels good in the hand, but it doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone. I'm using it with a full screen, screen protector without any issues, and if I need to use my 360 camera then I can easily peel it off to snap my camera on.I'd highly recommend this case to anyone who's looking for a case for the Essential phone, unless you want that big bulky protection then obviously get something else. If you want something that looks great, feels good in the hand, and doesn't make the phone bulky, get this case. Also, clicky buttons man....c'mon.

This is is a good case. It adds a lot of grip, the cutouts are perfect, the buttons are clicky, and it even has an indentation over the top speaker so as to not interfere with audio nor cover up the notification LED. Tudia put a lot of effort into making this work well within the tiny bezels they had to work with. The inside of the case has a pattern on it so it doesn't trap dust/sand and cause it to scrape against the back of the phone. Also, the four corners of the case have a bit of an "air bubble" in them to help protect your phone from drops as it lands on the corners - very well thought-out!If I were to list problems with the case, it would only be that it does interfere with full-screen tempered glass screen protectors (so far, none of them are any good anyways, so it's not yet a problem for me) and some people report that it scratches the plastic between the titanium and the screen (I've not yet seen this but I believe them). Other than those two things, it's a great case! If that scratching thing begins to happen to me, I'll probably knock a star off of this review but until then, it's a solid 5 star case for me!

I have the pure white essential ph-1 this case looks awesome and it feels great also. It's very slim and adds almost no bulk to my phone. The cut outs seem pretty spot on in my opinion also. The sides are textured and grippy and the false carbon fiber chunks look far better than I had anticipated. It feels like a higher quality material than what I experienced with the Poetic case I tried first and fits better also. This case reminds me of the UAG case I had on my Galaxy s6 which brings me to my 1 and only reason I didn't give this case 5 stars.The case is just a tad too flexible around the long edges of my phone. I understand this case is designed to flex I get it. I would prefer the edges to feel just a bit more stiff, less give.Other than that 1 single detail this case will be my favorite for my essential PH-1. I have already recommend this case to several other people. Great case thank you Tudia!!PS I'm using a tempered glass screen protector this case doesn't seem to bother or obstruct my screen protector at all.
