The glass is thicker than my other glass straws, which have all chipped at the ends, fortunately no chips ingested. The diameter is somewhat larger that my other straws, but not too large. Great for drinking water. Borosilicate glass is generally more break resistant, especially to heat shock, however when it does break it’s really jagged and sharp. Treat gently.
