I gave the heater only 4 stars since it took me two hours to put it together - I'm not particularly handy but a full size phillips and a willingness to get a little creative in places were enough. The directions were mostly okay but did have a few missing details. It now stands flush against the wall without the wall anchor, which I decided not to install because my kids are teens now. Now that its colder we run it all the time - in fact, I'm sitting right next to it now. My home is really old and drafty, the main room is 800sqft., the heater takes the edge off, especially in the area near it. The flames are great. The heater fan is on the same level as a regular standing fan, and it doesn't make any weird warbly sounds that I read about while reading up on other infrared heaters. Sometimes I get tired of the heater blower, but I'm kinda sensitive to noise, too. It looks very nice, realistic, and warms nicely. My two cats love lying in front of it and they will let me know when they want it turned on. Good price for how nice it looks and works! The one thing that bothered me a bit were the instructions. There were no "exploded view" pictures on them, which made it hard to see how certain parts were put together. So I ended up having to unscrew a few screws and turn parts around.
