At nearly 2 pounds with a large 5-inch diameter dark antiqued patina brass bell, this wood handled bell is an impressive piece to use or just display. The darker antiqued patina enhances the appearnence of engraving, making it a great choice for personalization. We've lightly lacquered our hand bell to make it more maintenance free, and improved it by adding a sturdy split ring (instead of wire) to hold a heavy metal clapper. Depending on how hard your swing the handle, this bell can be heard for a long distance and easily is enough bell for any indoor needs. Standing almost a foot high, it features a 1.5-inch thick walnut-stained, turned, hardwood handle.
