Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world. But everything changes when, after nearly 300 years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name. Review: A book about being human. Being loved. To love. - “They teach you growing up that you are only one thing at a time - angry, lonely, content - but he has never found that to be true. He is a dozen things at once. He is lost and scared and grateful, he is sorry and happy and afraid. But he is not alone.” ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ “What she NEEDS are stories. Stories are a way to preserve one’s self. To be remembered. And to forget. Stories come in so many forms: in charcoal, and in song, in paintings, poems, films. And BOOKS. Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives - or to find strength in a very long one.” This book. 😮‍💨 this book is EVERYTHING I needed and everything I didn’t know I was needing. This beautiful story is thought-provoking, emotional and fantastical. It had me wondering what does living successfully mean? Are you only successful if you are remembered? If you make a mark in this world? And what would I sacrifice for happiness? The story also explored what it means to be human. To be loved. To love. For my friends who know nothing about Addie LaRue this is definitely a fantasy with a dash of romance. I wouldn’t call it a straight romance book but rather explores themes of love. I am seriously so thankful I branched out of the stories I usually read to read this. These characters, especially Addie, will stick with me for life. V.E. Schwab’s writing is gorgeous. A work of art. I immediately bought books off her backlist after reading this. I read this as an audiobook and I couldn’t recommend it more in this format. Julia Whelan did a phenomenal job bringing this book to life. Her emotions could be felt so vividly. I sobbed my way through many parts of this story 🥹 Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to read this. I will be sending you my therapy bill but I am so thankful 😂 Review: Best Book of the Year - Unbelievably good. Superb writing. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,655 Reviews | ## Images ![Invisible Life of Addie Larue - Illustrated Edition - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714yQJgj6jS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A book about being human. Superb writing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Might be my favorite edition of the book *by S***D on February 7, 2026* The book itself is wonderful, but this specific version is gorgeous in itself. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and the book itself is the closest version I have found to a pocket edition because of how small it is. ## Frequently Bought Together - Invisible Life of Addie Larue - Illustrated Edition - A Study in Drowning Collector's Deluxe Limited Edition - The Lost Apothecary Collector's Edition: A Deluxe Edition Featuring Stenciled Sprayed Edges and Foil Decoration―Don't Miss Sarah Penner's Newest Spellbinding Book, The Amalfi Curse --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/474824522-invisible-life-of-addie-larue-illustrated-edition](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/474824522-invisible-life-of-addie-larue-illustrated-edition) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
