Bright, Compact, Solid construction and professional features
The media could not be loaded. The sokani x60 is a high quality video light that delivers big performance in a small package and at an affordable price 169.00 at the time of writing this. There is a lot i like about it. Its light quality is good enough for me to recommend it for paid jobs without renting big lights. The light is powerful for its size and helps to create and deliver wonderful images with a CRI rating of over 96 its well more than high quality enough for paid jobs. You can choose increments of 1% which is very dialed in. The light has an effects button that you can use fireworks, tv, and party effects. I am a huge fan of the all metal construction unlike the godox sl60w which was my previous light made up mostly of plastic. The item is light overall and really easy to maneuver and carry around which i am a huge fan of, when shooting a one man band. The carry case that it comes with is a huge bonus that fits all the accessories in perfectly. The cable and box hangs from the light which is inconvenient but nothing more, just tape will do. The reflector works really well to boost more light. The tilt lock has rosettes now from what i heard over the version 1 which allows you to use heavier attachments without tilting, especially when I add a diffuser to the bowens mount. There is also an umbrella attachment for cheaper diffusion. Overall i'd highly recommend the light for its high light quality, strength, portability, build, and size. This light is great for paid jobs and well mroe than enough for unpaid, short films, and personal projects.

Great Value for the Money
Overall, this light does one thing incredibly well. It puts out a nice consistent light without too much noise or heat. Plus it has a Bowen's mount so if that's your thing, you have a variety of softboxes or modifiers you can attach to it.Pros:- Affordable, and puts out a comparable amount of light to other more expensive units- Nice carrying bag- Comes with a remote for grouping and controlling multiple units- Low heat / noise- Lightweight- Well built mounting yolkCons:- Mounting yolk has a relatively low swing range, maybe 110 degrees- DC power adapter may be free swinging if not mounted properly, putting strain on the unit- No battery power option- The effects are only moderately useful. Some are highly situational and some are rubbish.Honestly, if this light DIDN'T have any lighting effects, I would still rate it 5 stars because of the quality of light and the metal construction and design. It's just a great little value. The effects are too random or finicky to be useful in most situations, but I can see how this would be incredibly useful for a filmmaker on a budget. You'll have a few ruined takes before it looks right, but the other effect options cost a lot more.It has a very high output with a nice (slightly blue-ish when camera is set to 5600K) white light. If you're on a budget and primarily do video work, this will work great for you.

I love its versatility
The media could not be loaded. I have had this light for almost two months now and found it very useful for doing videos in my home office studio as well as my wife likes to grab it for her photography work.I find that it is a very versatile light, well built, compact and it's easy to use. I also like that it comes in its own padded case making it easier to use on the road.I found that it works best as a background light, kind of setting the mood for the video. I use the mint light green or lite blue frequently. But it also works in pinch as a primary light or secondary light without any issues.I have always had issues with my lighting Apps. Always have connectivity issues. This one I did not have any issues and it has always stayed connected to the light. And that brings me to the other thing I found wonderful in this light. The large, yes, a large and easy-to-read LCD screen on the back of the light. The buttons on the light let you easily do everything that the App can do.Not that I have any plans to add more lights to this one, but the App will also let me add six groups of lights and still use only this one app to control them. The 10 different lighting effects help the versatility of the light and again, the fact that they are easy to use and adjust from the app makes this light so easy to use.For all the times I have used this lite, it has worked out perfectly, never had any issues, or never had any technical problems. It’s a breeze to use, and I like it!

Compact and it is all metal build, very solid
I am glad I purchased the version 2 of this light. I read the reviews for the version one and I was about to buy it because it is a great light but then I found out there is version 2 and the version 2 is way better because it has some improvements that really make the light better. The Light is really nice and small, light weight, all metal and it seems to be well build. Because the arm is also metal I don’t have to worry that my large modifier will tilt or break off the arm. For my setup it is ideal, it is mounted on my boom arm so the light weight and it small size it perfect. The light comes in a nice padded bag that can hold the light and the reflector or 2 lights. The light gets little hot when you use it for a while but the fan seems to keep it under control. The fan seems to be fairly quiet, but I wish it had variable speed because when you have the light on low it barely heats up and I think the fan could be running slower and almost silent during that time. My lav mic does not pick it up, but I am not sure if a cardioid mic would, I guess it would depend how close it is to the light. It very quiet but it is not silent. The only down side is that you cannot turn on or off the light with a remote, when I have to light mounted on the boom arm the only way to turn it off is to unplug the power and the power brick cable could be longer.Over all I am happy with my purchase
