Some customers tried on Onkyo and it seemed to have some issues. Please check the specs of 4K Gamer Pro and you receiver to see if they are both matched. **Q: Whats the difference between this model and the red one?** A: 4K Gamer Plus(red) is the old model launched in 2021 and 4K Gamer Pro(Black) is the latest model with new 3 different boosting levels so that gamers could get the most comfortable visual for the gaming experience. The high-performance mode of 4k Gamer Pro has 20% higher performance than the old version so you’ll enjoy better video quality in terms of sharpness, coloring, and depth of field. Also, the new model supports more upscalers for the daisy chains such as RetroTink5x and MisTer. **Q: Would combining this with a Marseille mCable Gaming Edition result in a perfect 4K image?** A: Yes. 4KGP is compatible with mCable as long as the input is 1080p. You'll definitely have a good 4k imaging with this combination. **Q: A lot of switch games are 720p not many are 1080p so does that mean there won’t even be a signal for those games?** A: Hi there, you can change the output of the Nintendo switch to 1080p on the system setting > TV resolution menu from automatic. The Switch will upscale the 720p games to 1080p in docked mode. So all switch games are compatible with 4k gamer pro. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the purchase if you know exactly what it is you're getting. *by on Reviewed in the United States 26 December 2022* Upon learning that this video image upscaler existed, I looked at some other reviews online to determine whether or not it was legitimate enough to buy. I was somewhat eager to receive and test this out after deciding I would initially make the purchase. After two weeks of usage specifically for the Nintendo Switch, I can say that this product does everything it advertises, that is, upscales images to a 4K resolution and increases color contrast, most importantly successfully processing the source without lag/delay. The difference in image quality with vs. without this is subtle, but noticeable both under scrutiny and casual, sustained play. I've compared games like Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I think there's even further benefits to be had using this with games that run natively sup-1080p, like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Persona 5 Royal. Seeing a sharper, clearer image on games on Switch with denser colors is remarkable, but that's essentially all you're paying for. It's up to your discretion if that relevant, albeit minor effect is worth the price that makes it possible. A proper upgraded Switch model could potentially entirely mitigate this product's purpose, unless you have older consoles as well, especially if games get further optimized for the better hardware (i.e. frame rates, lighting, texture quality, other graphical elements beyond simple image upscaling). This is an acquired luxury that's certainly nice to have, but it comes with a hefty price tag. I can only recommend it if you think that justifies what this offers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ it meet what I expected *by on Reviewed in Canada 1 March 2023* I am absolutely thrilled with the 4K Gamer Pro. ## Frequently Bought Together - PhotoFast 4K Gamer Pro Video Game Console HDMI 4K upscaler 1080p to 4k @60fps without lag upscale for Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch OLED/Wii U/PlayStation 4 / PS3 / Xbox & more - Marseille mClassic OG - Gaming Resolution Upscaler and Image Enhancer for Nintendo Switch, Retro Consoles Like Xbox, PlayStation, Gamecube, N64, Wii, SNES, and More - Supports 1440p/60hz - Highwings Short 8K HDMI Cable 1FT/0.3M 48Gbps, Ultra High Speed HDMI Braided Cord-4K@120Hz, 8K@60Hz,eARC,DTS-HD,12 Bit Color Compatible for PS5,Monitor,PC and More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/474671959-photofast-4k-gamer-pro-video-game-console-hdmi-4k-upscaler](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/474671959-photofast-4k-gamer-pro-video-game-console-hdmi-4k-upscaler) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
