Getting an endometriosis diagnosis shouldn’t feel like a life sentence. Because endo is an inflammatory disease, your diet, lifestyle, and treatment choices will impact how your disease behaves, whether through improving your symptoms, reclaiming your fertility or through the stunning possibility of disease remission. Heal Endo puts the power back in your hands to reclaim your life from endometriosis. Based on hundreds of published scientific studies, interviews with experts, and patient stories, this handbook clearly lays out the personal actions that can help put you back in control, starting today. After reading Heal Endo, you will understand: What endometriosis really is, and how it develops. That there are different types of endo that affect our bodies differently. The specific anti-inflammatory food and lifestyle factors proven to help. How bacteria is the secret endo-trigger few people are talking about, and how to address it. The role hormones play, and simple ways to support healthy levels. Which chemicals are associated with endometriosis, and how to avoid them. Why surgery is an important tool, and why the type of surgery matters greatly. While a “cure” may not (yet) be available, remission is the option you should aim for.

A bright light at the end of the never-endoing tunnel!
This book is a must read for anyone who believes they may suffer from Endometriosis as it offers a new and insightful lense which, speaking from my own experience, may really help sufferers to manage the disease and work towards remission.I have unfortunately had Endometriosis for many years and have endured some truly gruelling treatments and surgeries. In recent years I have tried and tested various natural alternatives to the hormone therapies and terrible goserelin injections and found that adopting an any inflammatory diet plus reducing chemical exposure (e.g via foods, drinks, water and cosmetics) has been the most effective.A couple of weeks ago I found a recommendation for this book on the internet and having bought it, I can honestly say it’s brilliant. It reaffirms everything that I have learned through trial and error, which is very reassuring and also explains that most of what we believe to be true about Endometriosis is perhaps a part truth. The traditional villain of The Endo story, oestrogen, often plays a part in driving some of the more widely recognised symptoms but is most definitely not the cause that many doctors make it out to be and most importantly it is not the only route to improvement which is what we are mostly lead to believe.100% recommend this book for anyone suffering with this horrible disease.BIG thankyou to Katie for a brilliant book!

The most important book for those searching for answers
An incredible bible for those suffering fromEndometriosis. I have recommended this book so many times and I return to it again and again to try to understand this complex disease. The book beautifully combines science with nutrition and teaches you how to tackle inflammation. It's current and relevant and should be the first purchase for anyone recently diagnosed who wants to fight this debilitating disease. I recognised myself on so many of these pages. It has helped me reprioritise my life and reclaim my health. There are lots of books out there now on Endometriosis but this one remains at the heart of my knowledge and is always the one I recommend. ❤️

A worthwhile read for anyone with endometriosis
This book is well worth reading by anyone who, like me, has endometriosis. As all endo sufferers know, the amount of knowledge we have around this condition is still very lacking, which leaves us with so many questions and so few definitive answers. The author is a nutritionist and has done a good amount of research around the topic enabling her to give a lot of detail around how we can approach the condition in terms of our personal nutrition, supplements and lifestyle. However, I did question how well substantiated many of the claims were in the book, in terms of scientific studies. As someone who has had a diagnosis of endometriosis for a long time now, and has done a lot of research and spent a lot of time and energy focusing on diet, I am not wholly convinced that endometriosis is a condition that can be controlled, minimised or even "reversed" as the author claims, by nutrition alone. To conclude, whilst I wouldn't expect this book to have all the answers in terms of battling endo, it is certainly worth a read as the general advice it gives towards diet and nutrition for endo sufferers, is no doubt good advice all round and can be of benefit.

This book is amazing!
If you have endometriosis and want to know more about how the flares and disease progression work and what you can do to stop it and feel better this is an amazing book. It explains everything with an easy language and it's based on the recent research. I can't be more happy about discovering this book.I just started working with a dietitian on improving my diet and gastrintenstinal symptoms next to having hormonal therapy set by an endometriosis doctor and most of the things my dietitian says are same as in this book. Especially eliminating without focusing on nutrient content, as it turned out I have some deficiences and don't consume enough of some nutrients.I also saw uropchysiotherapist before and now I understand better how the exercises I was given work. And the most important - this book desn't trigger me. As lots of the books focus on how bad everything is or can be and what helps is only a small part. This book is different.Next to hormonal therapy and surgery there's many things we can do to improve our symptoms. Yes, it may be incurable for now, but it can be in total remission, so don't lose hope. Life with endo doesn't equal life in misery as many people think.

Immediately feel seen and heard
As soon as this book arrived. I immediately retreated to my reading nook. Not even 30 minutes into it, could it be? Someone actually gets it. It took me the better part of 20 years to be diagnosed. I really appreciate her touching on infertility in the first half as well. Firstly, she experienced it first hand as an endometriosis suffer so why shouldn’t she speak on it? And also, that’s one of the main times endometriosis gets taken seriously in my experience. Once they smell an IVF $$$ patient they’re right on it. You suspect endo? Their response is “whatever”. You even hint at fertility problems and they become way more interested. You can’t be helped and you’re incurable but will gladly take your money. One minute I was considered “too young” to experience what I was expressing and the next minute in my early thirties I’m gently being called geriatric by actual geriatric male doctor. Very dehumanizing. So, I’d say it’s very important toward the topic. Again. Not even far into the book and I can tell this is going to be a book you don’t put down. It’s such a respectful approach that is not commonly used. I feel very optimistic using this as a guide to prep for a better future. Thank you KatiePlacebo effect is acknowledged when they want you to take those birth control pills but not in the way they discuss your condition with you. Wow. This book is a GAME CHANGER. So grateful it was recommended to me.“I’m not a mouse” LITERALLY

A must have for anyone with endometriosis
This book is just great. I love it so much! I was hesitant as I thought you can find everything on the internet and I wasn't sure if it was worth buying. IT IS! It is so nicely written and everything is explained so well. I love that there are references throughout the book so you can look up all the scientific papers that discovered something. I love that the book explains how the body works as a COMPLEX SYSTEM, how everything is related and how the stuff you eat impacts what happens inside. I really love reading the book and it filled me with the hope that maybe I can heal one day. Another thing that makes me really love the book and that gained my trust is, that it is not some sort of "alternative-all-natural-medicine" book that would tell you to never take medication and to never have surgery. It is a very well-balanced book with a vast amount of information. I think that this book should be in every hospital, in every gynaecologist's waiting room. I want my partner to read it too because it is just so fascinating. So, don't hesitate and buy it. You will not regret it.

Good for maintaining healthy lifestyle but not for curing advance level Endometriosis.
This book is like an collection of all the floating informations available on internet about endometriosis. Unfortunately there is no practical solutions given for extreme pain that patients go through. The nutrition and exercise chapter is good for maintaining a healthy feminine body. Pyschological tips are good. If you have advanced level issue and chronic pain, it wont be of much use.
