Is the kettle easy to fill through the spout, please? I don't want to have to use two hands to take off the lid for filling. Thank you.

No, it is not easy to fill through spout. But lid does not need to be removed, there is a lift up flap covering filler hole on lid.

The description says this toaster will toast one side (eg bagel) but what control does this function?

I have trouble getting the bread out so I would steer clear of this toaster. One of my worst buy.

To answer your question if the lid is difficult to remove or gets hot, my answer is; it is slightly stiff to remove but is not heavy and it does not get hot. The stiffness when removing the lid is better than it falling off when pouring, especially as it is not a flip-lid. Hope this helps?

Is the inside plastic?

It looks to be plastic with a s/s base. Super kettle though with a large lid and good pouring spout. I highly recommend it.
