I'm 5'10" and I had an issue with the right settings for driving comfortably. Come to find out that I was too reclined away from the steering wheel which was the reason of reaching. I used all spacers (there's four of them) to elevate the rear which provided about 1.5" and squared me to the steering wheel without reaching. Now I can drive comfortably for longer periods without backaches. Happy with the product and highly recommended. Don't go for the front spacers. Elevate the backside...you'll be happy that you did! These don't bring the extra hole. Maybe its just to raise the car seat from the back. At least they worked cause I had to install my speakers under the seat.
