OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES Case for iPhone 8 PLUS & iPhone 7 PLUS (ONLY) - Frustration Free Packaging - FINE PORT (CORDOVAN/SLATE GREY)

This is the fake GARBAGE that AMAZON Fullfilment sent to me! It’s a FAKE KNOCK OFF of an Otterbox branded Symmetry Series case. Amazon’s is made in China. The REAL Symmetry case from Otterbox is much different looking and comes in very expensive packaging!!! Total disappointment from Amazon today!!!

The item I received is NOT a true Otterbox. The box that this cheap silicone/ rubber cover came in states “Stylish Coice, Fashion Case” with an Otterbox sticker stuck crookedly on front. The “case” does not have a hard back or a raised beveled edge. I know this is fake since I’ve had one for my previous iPhone and it was a wonderful product. Otterbox box was also imprinted in the case. This “cover” does not have Otterbox on it anywhere. Returning immediately.** Added pics. I purchased a real one from Best Buy on left. They price matched Amazon. You can see the flimsy fake in second pic and the true Otterbox in last two pics.

I have had this protector as I feel it is was necessary to get it for my iPhone 8 plus. Being a recent convert from a Samsung Galaxy 5, I could no longer feel comfortable being responsibly gentle with an even larger and significantly heavier phone, so I looked for a case that wasn't too bulky, but also something that offered some protection. My first case was the Pursuit, but I felt it was too big, and the cover switch for the ringer did not work properly, so I returned it.After much research, and nearly buying a silicon case with fuzzy lining, I chose this. I went back to it because it was American made, which I felt meant it may have went through a strict quality control process, and I liked the feel of the pursuit case, despite the non-functioning ringer cover switch.I am happy with this purchase, and for the face of the phone that is not covered, I feel this product works well if you have a separate glass face protector. I am usually a bigger fan of single piece protectors, but not in the instance of a case where a touch screen is involved. I am also happy that this case was not as bulky as I expected, as I had planned to get a slimmer case for formal events. To me, this provides excellent protection without being bulky.This unit went on over my phone a little tight at first, as it was activating some of the side volume buttons as it was being fitted over my iPhone 8 Plus. But once on, it felt very snug. I like that the case feels nice with semi-grippy rubber around the side, but rigid and hard along the surfaces on the back at the same time. I guess I'm a tactile sort of person because besides liking the feel of this case in hand, I have no problems placing my phone down on hard concrete (which I would be nervous about doing with iPhones bare glass exterior) and enjoy that the phone feels protected in my front (yes, front) pocket as well, from shifting and or bending.An important feature to me is that the camera 'bump' is aligned in a fitted hole that gives it and the flash an ample opening and provides what feels to be a quarter's thickness to keep the bump from touching a surface if the case is placed camera-side down.The bottom cut-outs for the lightning cable and bottom speakers holes seem perfectly aligned for me, and the side buttons for the power and the volume controls are pleasantly stiff, which are find for me since I do not use them much and value the protection they provide for the little-used buttons. I also like that the ringer on/off switch is a simple cut-out rather than an attempted addition side button. I feel that this switch is, by design, something to correctly cover and have another working switch over it, as the Pursuit attempted to do.I highly recommend this case and I think it is an excellent value on Amazon at $28 at the time of purchase. I would be willing to bet it's nearly twice as much if you buy it at your local cell phone provider.Thank you for reading and I hope this review helps you.

I've had this case for almost 10 months so I think I can speak definitively about this.Look I know I'm the kind of person who drops stuff. I'm also the kind of person who likes to go out which makes me a 2x kind of person who drops stuff. So when I'm getting a case, it's a short term relationship.Not this son of a gun. Let me tell you the ways I've dropped this - off of a desk, off a ladder, accidentally threw across the street, sneezed so hard it flew out of my hands and hit the wall, angrily made hand movement and it slipped out, demonstrating how good it is by throwing it on a couch, demonstrating how good it is by throwing it on the floor, dropped in a pot of water (that probably has more to do with the phones water resistance but STILL), thrown as a joke, thrown as not a joke, adamant gesticulation, demonstrating how hard my brother's head was by hitting him with it (would not recommend), trying to impress girlfriend, dropped every day.Seriously, as someone who drops their phone both intentionally and unintentionally, I cannot recommend this case enough. Also it looks good, I love the color, it's light and is the slimmest case that will still protect your phone to a degree that you legitimately don't have to worry about it if you're a class A phone dropper.

I give one star because I can’t give a 0... In the features says STAY- CLEAR / ANTI-YELLOWING, one of the main reasons I bought it. But after a week using it it’s horrible. Looks like it’s 2 colors! All the edge it’s yellow, looks dirty. DONT BUY IT !

Did not protect the back of my phone from breaking. My phone was in my coat pocket and I was bent down getting something from the floor of my car when my phone slipped out of my pocket and fell to the driveway. I didn’t even cringe, it was such a small distance and didn’t sound like a hard fall. Very shocked to see the cracks across the back. Ive trusted in this brand for years and was very disappointed!

Case seems to protect the phone well enough but it scratches very easily and the scratches make it very slippery and hard to hold. After only having the case for a short time it already looks terrible. Not a good design, next time I’ll be going with something other than OtterBox.

Terrible...I always trust otter box with my phones. This case however let me down. It is really pretty but pretty poor quality. The back got scratched from just placing it on a table, and not to mention the color transfer from any clothing item you wear. I’m disappointed I paid so much money for this disappointing case 👎🏻

Arrived before expected due date, thank you. I really like this case, it’s very strong and sturdy and nice and colourful.

Love this - I am very good at dropping my phone and this has saved me on more than one occasion. The case is made from coloured plastic rather than painted so it is very sturdy! The orange /pink rubber surround does get a bit grubby but nothing you can’t fix 👍

Super disappointed this item is just painted over for the colour and is not coloured plastic. where my fingers rest during rest are worn away to reveal white plastic underneath. Looks very grubby and worn now after only 3 months of use. See pics. Contacted seller to no available.

Very good quality iPhone case, love OtterBox! However I did find it extremely hard to put on extremely tight fitting!
