This water dispenser is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. First off it is beautiful! It as compact as possible for what it performs and even though it claims some counter space it doesn't take up nearly as much space as full size water cooler. Second it is BOTTLELESS that means no running out to pick up water and all the hassle entailed. If you are concerned about the water quality I purchased the basic water purification system. Our city water is almost undrinkable from the bad taste and chlorine odor. This system delivers pure and amazing water. My kids are drinking a lot more water now. For me the third and best feature is the hot water function. For us this was a big purchase and one of the ways I rationalized this purchase was we needed a new coffee maker. We had a pod system but because of our poor water quality it only lasted a year (this is typical for coffee makers in our house) Dreading going back to the stove top which takes too long we purchased this water dispenser. I can't begin to describe the amazing feeling of just running water into your french press and having coffee in seconds. Now this leads me to really the best reason of all to buy this product. I had previously and hastily reviewed this product at only 2 stars. If i'm honest that wasn't fair but despite all of the great features of this product I was disappointed with the hot water. A cup of tea or coffee just wasn't quite hot enough and I'll say again I was disappointed. I didn't think to make any further complaint I just assumed I had unrealistic expectations and moved on. However Avalon got wind of my poor review and contacted me directly. They offered to send us a new unit and informed me that the water temperature should be outputting at 180 degrees. After speaking with them I tested the water it was running around 150 degrees. The new unit is putting out 180-190 degrees. I couldn't be more happy that small rise in temperature has made a huge difference. But also I couldn't be more pleased with the amazing level of customer service they went above and beyond to make a great product and make sure their customers are satisfied with it. Thank you!

This works great for either hot or cold water, but not great for both. The taste of the filtered water is as good as any other filter I've used. The only real problem I've had is that putting the hot and cold both on causes the cold water to warm up beyond a "nice cold glass of water" temperature. I only really wanted the hot feature to fill pans of water to boil so it would go faster, so I just turned hot off and use the lukewarm water out of the hot dispenser to fill pans and drink from the cold dispenser. Other than that I have no complaints. It's been a great way to have cold, filtered water on tap for one or two people without needing to fill a pitcher in the fridge. The capacity isn't that big so after one or two glasses of cold water, it needs time to cool again.

Truth be told I purchased a slightly used but new model. Installed went well and the water was flowing. Still, the cold wasn’t very cold and after a few days the unit started chiming. Like chiming every 30 sec without ending. After another day it the water stopped flowing completely. Tried to call their support but nothing. Finally amazon accommodated me by sending me another unit. Just received the replacement unit today as was promised. Set up was easy and it works perfectly. Thank you Amazon!!

Good unit. Expensive filters. Just broke and manufacturer did not provide a resolution. Purchased in 2018 and worked fine until it broke this year. Manufacturer indicated it was a common end of life issue and wouldn’t replace the unit or provide a resolution.

We bought 2 of these Avalon Water Dispensers for a small office and they are poor quality, the customer service is horrible. When we ordered the The machines we didn't receive in either box a flushing adapter, I had to call to request two, they ran me through useless questions and then I had to send them receipts etc which they didn't put into the system because the next time I called, I had to send the same docs and questions. The one unit is only a couple months old and we are already having problems with it, it doesn't work and has a loud annoying beep, I called customer service 3 times about it, they are very difficult and run you through an obstacle course to give you anything. I requested an entire new machine but they require me to try to fix it first, I'm not a water cooler repair person, we spent a lot of money on these machines and I wanted a brand new one, they wouldn't do that and now I'm stuck with a machine that doesn't work. I would not buy one of these machines ever again, don't waste your time it's aggravating, get a water service or a different machine, these machines are made over sees and not quality.

Very happy with this. Cold side is always cold, even when it kicks on and starts cooling the water is cold. Maintains temperature in a narrow range. Hot side is not that hot, 160 to 170 degrees F. But we are not using that feature, we have an electric kettle for that. I turned heating on for a few days to make sure it worked and then turned it off. Did not hook up the filters since already have a filter system in place.

It very small and easy to installed i use it everyday the only thing i don't like is the cost of the filters 99 dollars for a set that is a bit expensive. Save the planet stop using bottle water this is what need.
