I installed the filter per the directions, which are quiet simple, there is no way to install incorrectly. I flushed the filter with the shower head off and a large amount of carbon came out, flushed again and more carbon came out then cleared. I then installed the original low flow shower head which is necessary in drought stricken Southern California. I turned on the shower and the filter blew apart at the threaded connection that joins the filter housing together. As a result the shower head chipped the bathtub. Clearly this filter is not designed for normal City water pressure coupled with a low flow shower head and of course nothing is mentioned on the Geneva web site or on Amazon. The write up says precision threads which is a misnomer as the part is most likely injected molded ABS and the threads are not machined. What appears to happen is the water pressure is high enough to cause the top part of the housing to expand and the threads can not hold. If you have low flow shower heads this is not the product to use. The big question now is who will pay for the 1/2 inch chip in my tub.

Super easy to install and no leaks. Looks great too. My wife's hair has never looked better. No more chlorine smell. Great product, highly recommended.

This is a quality product. Before buying the Bathworks filter, I tried (and returned) one of those common ribbed filters, which leaked all over the place. It was worth spending a little bit more to get something that looks great and will last a long time.
