Q: Mute circle button on the side, how do I remove it???

If you remove the mute circle and you cannot adjust the volume

Q: anyone else notice echoes when using this along with speakerphone?

I believe the echo and drop-outs, for the iphone user and call recipient is a function of trapped, reflected sound. If you must use the speaker function on calls, then lower the volume as much as possible and speak in a normal volume closer to the phone surface -- this will minimize the echo and sound cancelation people experience. Personally and accept this limitation and use the case only when I'm going to be in or around bodies of water.

Q: Can you film underwater with this ?

No issue in pools or tap water. Haven’t been brave enough to try in a saltwater medium… the button covers and mute switch have held up over a year with no sign of wearing down. The plug on the bottom can fall out and get lost if not careful, and the bit of rubber that holds the plug in has started to crack along the bend. But that’s after at least 18 months of daily regular use.
