I Trust My Cello with It
Any cellist that remotely cares about their instrument will cringe at the thought of not storing their cello in a case when it's not in use. However, when I'm doing gigs on stage and/or where I'm using a pickup, the process of moving the cello to its case may be a more dangerous prospect than leaving it at your seat. I bought this stand for use when I'm playing pit orchestra for a local theatre where space isn't a huge problem, but my cello is wired into the sound system with a clip-on pickup and can't be easily moved. Rather than laying it on the ground where it would most definitely be kicked/stepped-on, I use this stand to hold the cello and my bow before the show and during intermission.A cellist won't trust their instrument to just any stand (cellos are WAAAAY too expensive for that), and this stand is one that I trust. It is heavy duty with nice wide feet to keep it stable. The neck strap is easy to remove intentionally, but not unintentionally. The stand has plenty of height adjustment to adjust for your cello or stage situation. In transport it's pretty large, but it collapses nice and flat so you can stuff it away just about anywhere. The bow hook is perfect, though it can get in the way a bit during transport.I have one complaint, and that is the telescoping neck piece--for my stand at least--isn't crafted quite right. The indented track for the clamp screw to go into is a little misaligned with respect to the neck hook, which makes the whole stand not completely centered. However, it's something that you wouldn't really notice unless you were studying the stand; the functionality of the stand is unaffected by this defect.I would definitely buy this cello stand again! Highly recommended!

I can keep my post out!
I am a new cello player and I found that I was sometimes resistant to practicing because of the awkwardness of getting started, putting the post out and having all the other little things you have to do. Just having the post stay out made a huge difference. I practice more and so I'm improving. Still struggling but that's normal!

Great Harp Stand!!!
We didn't use the top hook which fastens to the neck of the cello. We moved the cushioned horizontal arms up a little bit. Then we drilled a hole in each end of a used paint stirring stick, at about 8 3/4" apart, and routed the horizontal arm adjusting screws through those holes. That gave us a stabilizing bar so the rack would not fold if bumped. Then we set the harp on the stand and tilted it back to play. The height was adjustable, so it rested just right on my wife's shoulder. Voila! A Harp stand as well. It is perfect. We can't take full credit. The rack was recommended by Music Maker who made the harp. We dug around in the shop and found a used paint stick which we cut to about 10 inches long. If you don't have a used paint stick, a new stick might work just as well.

poor quality control
When I got the package I noted that there was a knob sticking out of the box. This knob is attached to the adjustment screw for the neck holder of the stand. The reason it was protruding was that the rubber grommet of the bracket that adjusts for the neck didn't have its hole lined up with the screw and so the screw wasn't inserted much at all. The result was that the screw must have hit things in transport and the threads of the bracket were damaged. It took me 45 minutes to straighter things out and I end up with a chewed up knob on a screw that sort of works with some effort. I can't recommend this product.

No instructions needed
So easy to assemble! Half of it was already done for me so I only had to put the two halves together. It’s held together perfectly since we bought it over a month ago and was easy to adjust for cello height. Very convenient place to store our son’s cello when he practices at home.
