Rock island 1911 compatible

The kit is generic to the 1911 frame, so I would think so. I use this with my 1911 Colt government and it works fine.

I read that the jags and slotted tips in this kit are made of nylon. How strong are they? Do they break easily?

This is the only gripe that I have in the kit. Although they don't break, they do have a tendency to bend. Other than that, I love this kit as well as other Real Avid cleaning kits. I have one for my shotgun and AR15!

Does it come with oil?

No oil is included in this package

Will this work for a remington r1? do i need any other tools to take the gun apart for cleaning?

Works with any 1911 pistol, including Remington r1. The kit also includes a bushing wrench, so you are all set to go. Only thing needed is cleaning patches and bore solvent.
