I read some people were breaking the head off which is ridiculous. You would have to push amazingly hard in order for that to happen. It will start to bend if you are pushing too hard, so realize that and back off a tad. Just take your time and let the knife do the work! I used it to make big size Monopoly pieces for Halloween at work, and they turned out great.
