Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton for Women - 3.4 Ounce EDP Spray

About 3 years ago I decided it was time for me to find a scent to call my own. I had always worn body spray, but wanted to start wearing real perfume. So I walked into the perfume store with a open mind, not really sure where to start or what I was looking for. The Fairy Dust bottle caught my eye, but when I saw it was by Paris Hilton I was a little iffy (not being a fan of her). But I had to start somewhere and asked to smell it. I really liked it, so bought it and Heiress to try them out. As you can guess, Fairy Dust won! The scent lasts all day long without wearing a lot. I always get compliments. Plus, my little boy loves it so much he has to have one of my nightgowns to go to sleep! This will be the perfume I use for the rest of my life.

Paris Hilton is a strange genius. Smart smart smart to market a nice, high quality perfume at a price a lot less than the big designers. This has a kind of flowery smell, but there's something kind of deep and spicy about it too. I'm not a smell expert, so I don't know how to describe it, I just like it and has been my favorite affordable perfume for awhile now. I can't find it at the department store here anymore, so bought this one on amazon, and to my surprise it's twice the size of the bottles I was buying here, for a dollar less! :) Can't beat that. And the bottle is so pretty.

I love it! After wearing Fairy Dust for a few hours, the scent turns into something very magical. I spray it on my legs, torso and upper arms before getting dressed. Right after spraying, I rub the perfume in order to spread it and soften the scent. What's left on my hands lasts even after washing them. Fairy Dust may seem strong when you first apply it, but once it rounds out, it's truly something special. I even had someone comment about how good I smelled about a half hour after spraying it, before the scent rounded out.

Very interesting perfume! It was a good deal so I thought I might add it to my collection. The bottle is attractive enough but really nothing special. It has a little fairy on it and a cute top, otherwise it is unremarkable.The perfume - if you buy this, I suggest you use just ONE spray or two at the most the first time you use it. This is a perfume that definitely has a progression of experience. I also suspect it is one that very much changes a bit depending on the wearer's body chemistry. It's rather complex.It starts very light, and a bit generic- no more interesting or obtrusive than a Glade fragrance candle. It develops as the carriers evaporate and then it PUNCHES, on me becoming maybe 20x stronger after 5 minutes than when first sprayed. At this point, I detected a lot of cinnamon and pachouli in a horserace with pink peony coming up quickly from behind. This is why you want to apply this sparingly until you know how it reacts on you.After the drydown, it's really quite pleasant, with remarkable staying power. Deep notes of pachouli and light musk and vanilla overlaid with pink peony, and gardenia make it a sweet white floral experience with earthy, slightly oriental deeper tones. After 2-3 hours, the scent of peach predominates.This is one to definitely apply at least 30 minutes before going out, IMO. I'm glad I bought the larger size. At this price, I can afford a few spritzes in a hot bath now and then. I like it for daytime wear. I think it could be a disaster with young ladies that might apply too much, or in a closed, school like environment or any tight office, so I would not give this as a gift to my teen nieces. The initial punch is too strong.

I wouldn't even give this one star. It is the worst smelling perfume I have ever smelled. Strong, musky and gross. It came in the Paris Hilton original box and packaging but the color of the perfume is dark champagne colored where as the pic shows it as clear. The bottle is also cheaply made and the spray nozzle sticks. It is obviously a cheap knock off. I wouldnt even give this to my 86 year old grandma. Also, beware if you do take the risk and buy this, you cannot return it as it is "flammable material" according to Amazon. DO NOT BUY THIS PERFUME!!!!

My mom loves this perfume, but she had only ever had it before in the set with the lotions and stuff. I ordered the 3.4oz bottle thinking it was the same size as the almost empty bottle in the bathroom cupboard, but when it got here it was in this gorgous sealed box so i couldn't check the size. When we gave it to our mom she was so excited she had never had the bottle wrapped that way before, and when she opened it the bottle was HUGE!!!! So to wrap up 3.4oz bottle of perfume $14.97, surprised and happy mom, priceless.

This is comparable to a teeny bopper version of Chanel No. 5. It makes perfect sense to me that it would, its just unfortunate because I was not expecting such a dark, spicy scent. I tend to purchase light fragrances, those reminiscent of shampoo... this is not it. This is a spicy, but not musky smell that reminds me of a young woman's attempt to smell mature, if that makes any sense to you. What redeems this scent for me is that it does somehow manage to remain fresh even with all of the dark tones that created its baseline smell. Based on the advertisement, I was expecting a clear colored fragrance, at the most, slightly tinged with pink or gold. Had I known that the color of this perfume is a deep amber, I would have known that this is not a scent for me. I am a bit ticked off that the picture shown i not the product received, however, its not worth the hassle to return. If you are familiar with the scent J-Lo after dark, I happened to purchase that when I bought this and they dang near smell identical. I presently combine the two. The package came very quickly and the bottle is basic, nothing fancy that will make your perfume collection exotic. Its an overall fun fragrance to throw on here and there, but I must admit, the smell does remind me a bit of my sweet old Granny.....

I'm not a Paris Hilton fan but I do love many of her perfumes. Fairy Dust is my favorite. It reminds me of a Disney Tinker Bell perfume I had as a child only this scent has been made more romantic and adult.
