Because I don’t see jis stamped** A: I’m going to say no, just because of how they’re labeled PH1 PH2 PH3. PH meaning Phillips. Vessel usually labels their JIS drivers +1 +2 +3 or P1 P2 P3. P meaning Plus. Though I’m surprised Vessel made a set with Phillips bits, not JIS bits. Having said all that, this is a decent set that I use regularly. I have only experienced cam-out either when using cheap screws, or operator error. **Q: Does anyone know of the grooves on these line up properly with the ball detent on American style impact drivers?** A: The ball detent lines up with about the ball on the bit. It locks securely into an impact driver but has a couple millimeters of back and forth movement inside the collar. In a Milwaukee M12 Surge Impact Driver, just the head of the bit sticks past the collar. The movement is just slightly more then my long Milwaukee and DeWalt bits and extenders. **Q: Are the cross points JIS?** A: Short answer - NO. The cross points are marked PH1 / 2 / 3 and PZ1 / 2 / 3. The PH is for Phillips and the PZ is for Pozidrive. I haven't tried the PZ on my JIS fasteners but based on the description they seem similar to my JIS Vessel screwdrivers. From the internet. "A Pozidriv has ribs between each of the four arms of the cross. This increases the grip between the bit and the fastener. A Phillips bit fits in a Pozidriv screw head, but it will most likely cam out before the fastener is fully tightened. ... A Pozidriv bit does not fit in a Phillips screw head" **Q: Q: Vessel, do you offer metric hex 2.5 mmbits? thank you** A: Yes and we will prepare Hex 2.5mm tip bit in near future! The fit of the tips in the screw head is superb and they do seem to resist the tendency to cam out of the fastener very well. The 30mm length is a bonus if you fit them directly into an impact driver chuck, and the cross head tips are all J.I.S. ....a real boon if you work on Japanese motorcycles.
