Super strong and sturdy ground spike for securing our dog whilst on a camping trip. It gave us the peace of mind to know that’s why he was on his cable he wouldn’t be able to escape. We used it with a 10 meter cable. The spike was incredibly secure and didn’t budge at all. Would recommend taking a metal bar to use other, turning handle when putting the spike into the ground and removing it again.

Very pleased with this purchase. Bought for a camping trip with a 34kg dog and it's worth every penny as it took all the stress of having him there away completely. The stake is good quality and feels really secure when in use. It does take a bit of elbow grease to put it in and take it out, but if it didn't then it probably wouldn't be a good product. Side note: the tool provided to turn the stake into the ground is a great more mobile stake and you can just whack it into the ground with a mallet, but obviously isn't as secure.

We use this for our Tibetan terrier while camping. It took a bit of effort to screw it I to the ground / grass area and wouldn't like to try it on hard standing. Once in the ground there was no movement even though he tries his hardest to budge it. Make sure the wire you buy to attach to the spike is sturdy as he tried to chew his way through ours but did not succeed. The spike is very robust, steady in the ground and has quite a weight to it. Time will tell but a good purchase so far.

Would highly recommend for using as a tie out stake for large strong dogs,we have just used it for a month while away with our 47kg dog and it didn't budge from the ground.The swivel loop on it is great to stop. them getting tangled.Not so easy to get out of the ground which to me is a good thing,otherwise if the dog pulled it would probably just pull out.

Bought this for dog for caravan, no good for hardstanding but went in easily on grass. Not a bad product but for the price and wot they say then no, as my dog after few attempts pulled it out.

This product is very *strong* and is sufficient to hold a large dog. It doesn't move at all when fully screwed in and wont bend. It has no sharp edges and so you don't have to worry cutting your toes if you stand on it in the garden. It seems very well made and has a thick coat of paint. I have bought another of these to put in the front garden.

I have been very impressed with the sturdiness of this product and certainly did what it said it would. I have a 42kg Giant Schnauzer puppy.BUTThis weekend he decided to chew it, as puppies do, but the open part of the handle hooked into his lower jaw. He SCREAMED! His blood was everywhere, we had to put our hands into his mouth, one push down on his lower jaw, the other lift his upper jaw. We were both pierced by his teeth in his struggle of panic and pain.Do not buy an open ended hooked one, opt for a closed in one.We are going to try and force it closed with heating it up and a heavy duty clamp, but if that doesn't work I'll buy another, closed in one version.Please be aware.
